Seriously? This is not the Dog's fault. Print a Sign, Frame it, and Hang it over/behind your Toilet.....'PETS IN HOUSE, PLEASE SHUT THE TOILET LID.' | |

				 | Cat Poop..... Cut a small, cat sized hole into, the short side of a Storage Tub with lid. Cut the hole about 1/2 the way up. For large dogs, THIS will stop the problem, but if the dog is STILL trying to get to the litter, place a large heavy tub of new Kitty Litter, tilted in front of the doorway. For smaller dogs, place your this Kitty Litter Pan up upon something so that the cats can get to it, but not your dog.... Not only will this stop dogs from getting into the Litter, the litter will smell less, and is so much more attractive for human eyes. Human Toddlers will stay out of it too. |

				 | I have had many puppies, everyone of them was unplanned meaning, friends or family member I was shopping with would say ohhhhh a pet shop, lets go in and see the puppies, I would be the one that came home with one. Knowing having a dog would be a commitment. Although they were all unplanned each one was like the wedding vow to me. To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part. Not all of my puppies were perfect, no issues, I seeked help for what I could not train out of a dog myself. I would never give up on a dog that had issues, dogs are a lifetime commitment. My pups and I were a package deal, love me, love my dog. If some man told me to decide either the dogs does or I go, I would open the door and wish him good luck, it would be obvious he didn't love me enough to work with me to help resolve the issue. If you have given up on this baby and re-home him, do not ever get another dog. Dogs are like toddlers, they have to be taught what is right, what is wrong and that takes time and a lot of patience. I will say your pup does have a bad issue, but it is fixable, it takes time and commitment on your part. Having him crate trained and crate him when you have visitors would have resolved the issue you just had, or block him off in a room where he can see you and visitors but cannot get to the bathroom. There are many things that could have been done to avoid this last fiasco. I don't blame the dog, I blame the owner for not taking proper precautions knowing how the dog is.

				 | So judgey!!! And you buy dogs from a store and say its bad to sell them to loving homes i will check out??? Also, I didn't say marriage vows to a dog i bought even though i love him. If I listen to you I won't ever say marriage vows to anyone since no one in the world accept this board would think a poop eating dog who growls and whines at a toilet all day (!!!!) AND ATTACKS OLD PEOPLE AND BABIES TO EAT THEIR POO is worth it. And he just loves to poop in his crate and roll and eat it too, and he can tell when someone uses the toilet and starts going insane and sooooo loud even in the crate across rooms (maybe hes part bloodhound!!!). Also why should I mkae my kitty have to crawl in a stinky hole to avoid Kiki?? I tried a covered litter and my baby doesnt like it. |

				 | Also, my poor kitty. Why should the cat suffer because I made a mistake with a very sick dog who makes the kitty miserable and scared and making me move the cat's toilet when Kiki cant leave me in peace on mine? |

And to answer your comment about me buying dogs in pet stores, the last time I bought a dog was 1997, there was no media on puppy mills, I never heard the words puppy mill until 2001. Fortunately for me they were healthy dogs until like all senior dogs they started having issues at 11 and 12 years old. As I have stated in another post, do not get anymore dogs, you don't have the commitment to work on problems they may have, and, if you do not have any children I suggest you not have any babies because, the first time that baby poops in their diaper and you don't change it fast enough and that baby winds up eating their own poop or eats it and smears it on the wall or between the bars of their crib, you'll be looking to re-home that baby.

2 and 3-No where did anyone suggest to not have babies, children or seniors over. You know what issues your dog has, find a suitable place where he has no access to your bathroom. 4-It was suggestions how to keep your pup out of the kitty litter box. There are many members here on YT that have cat and yorkie, it's not uncommon for any breed dog to eat cat poop. Many members that have this issue found ways to keep the litter box where their dog cannot get at, suggestions were given. 5-In my opinion you should not have any more dogs because if they are not perfect off to the pound they go. You have a behaviorist that told you it's fixable but will take time, you do not want to put the time in. In the end this poor innocent little dog will get euthanized, not by you but by being passed from one owner to another owner because you do not want to put the time in to work this bad habit out of this dog. Just as this person that sold you this dog did not tell you he was a poop eater, I am sure you will not tell someone that will buy him or adopt him he eats poop because you know no one will want him if they know the truth about the dog. 6-In my opinion no, you should not have babies, you have no patience to teach, train right from wrong. You came to Yorkie Talk asking for help. This is a community of yorkie LOVERS trying to save this dogs life by offering suggestions, advise, no one wants to see dogs re-homed or given to rescues if a problem is fixable. You asked for help and was given suggestions. But you want the easy way out, get rid of the dog.
