| Fostering experience I thought I would write about my fostering experience. It has been a joy to do and I plan on doing it again once Thumper starts to feel better. As everyone knows having dogs are expensive so I found that fostering is a way to cut down on costs. I only pay for minimal expenses like food and pee pads. Some dog walking if needed but all vet bills are paid for by the organization. I am sure I could even have them pay for monthly heartworrm and flea medication if needed. I once had to take him to doggy day care because he had an appt and I had to work and they reimbursed me for the cost. The offered to also pay for the food but since Bella ate the same I said not to worry about it. I always wanted three but after taking a hard look at my finances I would be sacrificing too much. Unless I get more money from work two is all I can afford at the moment. This allows me the best of both worlds. I can help save a dog and enjoy his company. I've read on hear some stories of some wanted another dog but not sure how there brood will react to the addition by fostering you can monitor the situation and if it doesn't work out have the foster take him back. There are so many rescue groups in need of fosters and any little bit helps. This will also allow me to have another dog when the time comes (hoping many years in the future) that I may not have my Thumper and Bella and at that time at least I will have another dog to help me through the situation. I will state you need to be careful of the dog you bring into your home and do the due diligence but it all seems right I say go for it.

| It's good that you fostered this lil guy, it gave you a taste of what having 3 would be like. I had 3 all 3 years apart that I raised as puppies. I found it no problem having 3, I had a good paying job so didn't have to worry about vet cost. They were all house broken by 7 months old, all 3 were walked at the same time, and these were not 5 Lbs or under kids lol, now that was a trip lol. They would all line up and knew who got harnessed up first. They ate side by side and never stole the others food. They were well socialized with all types of animals and ppl. Since I worked all week on week ends where ever I went my girls came with me, they were such good dogs. Maybe I was just lucky. I would fail at being a foster mom, I wouldn't be able to give them up, I wish I had a stronger will power, I would love to get even one dog out of a shelter into a real home. I commend you for fostering.

Fostering is not for everyone but it definitely is another option for people to think about who may struggle financially with the costs of a dog but want a companion
