| He isn't gaining! (complaining just to complain) Thank you for visiting my pitty party. *DISCLAIMER* I love JakJak no matter what size he ends up to be. I'm just worried for him being so small. JakJak is now 9 months old. Every month, I weigh and measure him. I like to see how he has grown since he came home 6 months ago. I miss his little nubby puppy legs!! As cute and compact as he is, I worry because his growing has slowed down to a crawl. He is peaking at 3.75 lbs. My worry is, what kind of flea preventative can I use on someone so small? Most everything is for pups 5 lbs and up. I don't think we're going to make it to 5 lbs.

| You might Google the issue and see what others with tinys do for safe flea treatment. Maybe ask you vet if you could just use less of the flea treatment medication.

| If he gets to 4 pounds which I feel like he should but it may take awhile then you can use nexgard. With Ollie he gained like 2 pounds after hitting a year old and he is still super skinny.

| This is encouraging! Maybe he'll gain more in the next few months.

| Good idea. My vet has given me flea stuff meant for young puppies under 5 lbs. It honestly does not work very well.

| Both my boys gained at least a pound after a year so hopefully JakJak will too.
