| Biewer coat question Any of you Biewer people out there, I have a question. My 16 wk old boy has a beautiful spun silk coat but it mats very easily. Twice a day brushing helps, but if he even scratches, there may be a small mat. What are their adult coats like? Since the breed is so new here I have no examples to see. While not a problem this spun silk coat is really high maintenance even for a yorkie, but when clean it just "glows". Are their adult coats a bit more easy to maintain? Is the adult coat a thicker texture that does not mat as bad?? Oh I found a bit of CC's Ice on Ice on the mat, helps it comb right out, but I watch his coat closely to make sure mats are combed right out. Can't imagine what would happen to his coat if I left it for a few days...prob. ONE BIG MAT! Just want to know what to expect in the future with him! I am thanking you in advance for your advice and experiences with your Biewers.

| I would suspect that the Biewers have the same types of coats the other Yorkies have. And - there are a thousand posts about Yorkie coats. Start reading.............. Carol Jean |
