| The Oddest Puppy Thanksgiving Freya started off Thanksgiving out of the gate...or out of the carrier, hehe. She came out and instead of doing what I thought she'd do--hide--she started wagging her tail and playing with my mom's Chihuahua female, Little Girl. Freya jumped on the floor and started playing! Then my brother's male Chihuahua, Bernie, got into the mix. He became an instant heat detector lol. Seems wee Freya has decided that was the day to start her first heat! Yesterday when I was bathing her, I THOUGHT she seemed swollen, but I have no experience in this... But my brother and his wife picked her and said she was swollen and probably going to bleed soon, although I haven't seen any yet. Bernie was trying to get with her! Lol. He had to be put up. I was kinda sad. She wagged her tail and acted more happy than she has alone with me! Now that she's back home she's back to being her more reserved self. I think I will take her back. |

| I do hope you mean take her back to your moms house with the little female Chihuahua and not your brothers house with the male pooch. If you take her back to your mom's watch your mom's dog does not try to fight with Freya since she is going into heat. I had a pack of 3 females, 2 were not spayed one was, I never had any issues with fights but they lived with each other. Just be careful and do not leave them alone with each other, always have them under supervision.

| Wait until the heat is over and possibly until you spay her to take her back. It’s much safer that way. Taking her back while she is in heat would be cruel to the male. You also might want to suggest your brother neuter his dog. It’s much better for them.

| Not really funny because it means she is dominating you.

| Even in heat it can be an act of dominance. You should not let her do it.

| She wants your attention. I have one who will hit at my phone if I have it while they want attention.
