| Looking for larger size puppy Hi There... I am new to this message board, but I recently lost my best buddy Bentley after 11 great years, and thought I would start here in my search for a puppy....Bentley and was approximately 14 lbs. and I would like to have another male of similar size.... If anyone knows of a reputable breeder who has the larger size in their blood lines, please let me know.... Thank you... Jim |

| Welcome to YT, I had a 17 pound girl now passed, I know what you mean about having a bigger yorkie, however, no breeder breeds for bigger yorkies. Sometimes a breeder will have a larger then standard yorkie in a litter but, they are far and few between. Did you try contacting the person you got Bentley from, they may have more larger yorkies, have to gone to shelters to look for a larger yorkie. Good luck on your quest.

| I’m so sorry for your loss. If size is really important you might want to think of adopting an adult. A local breeder around me that I had been following for over a year had a bigger puppy that no one wanted and that’s how I ended up getting my youngest. By 5 months he was already bigger then both parents. He should fill out to be about 12 pounds. Sometimes breeders have bigger ones.

| Thank you both very much for your input....Yes...I did go back to the breeder where I got Bentley and he no longer has the larger Male he was using as a breeder as he has also passed on... I would not be opposed at all to adopting a larger pup if I could find one...that is a good thought... I will keep looking at all options... Thanks again for the information... Have a good weekend!! |

| I like the sturdier, bigger ones also. My first yorkie, Gizmo, was about 14 lbs. Kandi's not little either. She's 9.5. Good luck in your search.
