| My Yorkie puppy doesn't sleep My parti yorkie puppy is 6 months old. He doesn't sleep. He "cat naps" a totaling 3-4 hours in 24. He is healthy, happy, well behaved, full of energy, 100% house trained. Has anyone ever had this happen? My biggest concern is that it isn't good for his health. I am also wondering if he will grow out of it. |

| Well at night if you put him in a crate and only take him out to potty he will learn that is bed time and sleep. Don’t play with him in the middle of the night.

My little gal is just a bit younger than your guy. Since she was given the okay to walk outside, she has gotten a nice long (real long) walk and up to 10 minutes of running in the morning. When we get home, she'll generally eat a little bit, play for a short while and then snuggle in for a pretty good nap. Now that our weather is not so hot, we also take a long walk at night, including a bit of running. I find that just before the evening walk, she wants to play, play, play. She's pretty much ready to settle down after we walk. | |
