| Yorkie litter born today The litter I was waiting for was born today with two parti yorkies and one tradional boy. My husband keeps saying a real yorkie has no white any where. and parti's are not yorkies but mixes. I've gone thru all my yorkie books, looked everywhere for info. Not much of anything. I like the puppies but ugh do real yorkies have huge white markings? and are parti's real yorkies? They are AKC limited pups. My husband's Mom used to breed Yorkies in the 70s so it's been awhile. I'm sure you are excited. Parti yorkies are real yorkies, but their coloring is disqualifying in the show ring. See the YTCA standard writeup, "Official Standard of the Yorkshire Terrier" for the comment, "Any solid color or combination of colors other than blue and tan as described above [is a disqualification]. ANy white marking other than a small white spot on the forechest that does not exceed 1 inch at its longest dimension [is a disqualification]." There are probably better references for Parti Yorkies, but here is one published by Cuteness,"What Is the Difference Between a Parti Yorkie & a Regular Yorkie?" Hope this helps. --KatysMom | |

| It depends who you talk to. More strict breeders will tell you what your husband is telling you others not so much. I have a chocolate and some think that's awful too but oh well. I wanted one for a long time and he was going to be bigger and no one wanted him so he is mine My younger girl who is a traditional yorkie has a patch of white on her chest.
