| People who've never had a terrier in their lives really miss out on all the 'fun'. Terriers can drive you nuts but never saw a group of dogs more entertaining, lively and endearing in the way they live their lives and run ours. They just will not be bested unless it serves their interests. Love the way they stand their ground when they're convince they're right! Funny little characters and isn't it amazing how true to type and the instinct to pursue our Yorkshire Terriers still are after all these generations away from their creation for their original jobs.

| I'm totally with you guys!!! I always 'warn' people that Piper is true to her breed--prey driven, tenacious, willful, determined and relentless. Once focused, she'll not be distracted. And if forced (bodily brought inside, say), Piper will not rest, nor let anyone else, until she's allowed back to business. Piper is done when she says she's done!!! She amazes me daily and I love her more each minute! Plus I have such admiration and respect for the Yorkie breed!! |

Me, too, luv me some Yorkies!!! Ever since my first Yorkie, Scotty, the blackhearted little firebrand who loved himself some trouble, I've adored their little spirit and dogged determination! And in a tiny package it's even cuter! I think sometimes Tibbe thinks he's a wolf! That tiny little thing thinks he's all that!!! Makes me smile every time I think of him. Every Yorkie I've had has totally owned me.

It was like his way of hugging me but it was a nightly ritual. He was so tiny but all dog and ran the entire household with an iron paw. People stopped us everywhere we took him - but they do with Tibbe and Jilly so that's nothing new for Yorkies. My son was grown up and already away from home when Scotty went to Rainbow Bridge & he just broke down when I called & told him, the only time I knew of him to cry once he grew up! These Yorkies get such a deep hold on everybody's heart. But Scotty loved to devil you! I adored him, as I did little Jilly. She was the sweetheart of my life! I still miss them both so. Quote:
"Shirley Temple" dog. He's bigger than Scotty or Jilly(both 3 lbs.), foursquare & hardy, weighing in at 6.5 lbs.! I imagine I can see his little muscles ripple as he trots across the yard. Carries himself like an athlete & is so athletic. He's always showing off, showing how cute he is, always wanting to perform, get your attention and me to applaud him or laugh. He's "on" from morning until he growls himself to sleep at night being cute. Never saw such a little ham! He'd sell his little soul for a minute's attention and the more the merrier with Tibbe! But a better pet and friend I've never had. He's perfect in everything he does and so wants to please. Who couldn't adore something like that?!?! We have a great time together and I've never been so in love! He's some little guy and totally owns me lock, stock and .
