| A Change in Behavior? The last three days or so Freya has been...NUTS lol. When it's bedtime, "No, Daddy! I want to wander." Up and down, off the sofa, wander into the kitchen, etc etc etc. Even some during the day. Wants to get into stuff. Tries to find stuff to chew. One friend on Facebook says it's just typical puppy stuff Another says she might be going into her first "season" as she said lol. I wagged my finger at Freya, said, "No, baby! No boys." Lol. But, seriously, what do you think? Do you think she's just finally loosening up after being here more than 3 months--remember, I got her at 5 months old--or is she going into heat? Thanks! |

| Is she going into heat? Who knows but you'll know when it happens. |

| She has settled in and the yorkie in her is coming out, watch out, wee lil Miss Freya can make big mischief, make sure she cannot get into the kitchen trash pail. You must spay Freya ASAP, for every heat she has you are putting her at risk for getting mammary gland tumors and Pyometra which is fatal. Please spay her and prolong a healthier life for her.

| It may have taken her a while to get used to things and she may just finally be comfortable. It is very important you make sure the house is puppy proofed so she can't get into anything that might hurt her and make sure you have plenty of chew toys. You also need to get her spayed ASAP it is soooooo much better for her health especially if you can get it done before her first heat.

| Thanks for all the replies. Two facebook friends have seen short vids of her and are convinced she's in heat lol. But no sign of blood or anything. My sister-in-law, Tara, says no, not without a sign of it. I can tell you she's covered more ground in the last week than she has the entire three MONTHS lol. As far as the vet, the fixing: I don't drive, that's the thing. I've been wanting to take her to Banfield at Petsmart...but I don't have transportation so far. My mom has had a few minor surgeries. I'm gonna try to make it happen in the next month. It's not from lack of wanting to! |

| I too was going to suggest Uber or Lyft. As to Banfield, check our the specific clinic that is located near to you. Read the reviews, etc. Not all the Banfield clinics have problems. Some folks are really happy with the services they have received at the Banfield they use. |

| I concur with not going to Bainfield. I wouldn't let that place cut my Yorkies nails, much less do anything serious to them!
