| Fireworks and Bella Bella has been surprisingly serene during the Fourth of July fireworks season. She hasn't barked or shown any anxiety at all. She's a little more upset during thunderstorms, but what gets her really upset are people who come to the door, or any stranger inside the house. Are Yorkies inherently less bothered by fireworks, or is Bella unusual?

| All three of our dogs are bothered by fireworks AND thunder. Time for calming treats all around.

| Callie does not like fireworks they scare her and she generally hides. Joey barks at them. Occasionally Penny will let out a little woof. Ollie looked around but he was not bothered and even went outside and went poo lol.

| Jackson hates them. If they are enough in the distance, he's usually okay to just go lay down, if I keep the TV up kind of loud. But if they're super close, then he's under the bed.

Freya didn't do much last night. Oddly enough, there weren't many firecracker sounds, and maybe that was it. Earlier, however, it was thundering, and she kept getting down and clawing at my shins while I was at the computer doing art. I think she heard the storm before I did. I looked down at her and asked, "what's wrong?" | |

| I think I lucked out. Neither of mine are bothered by any sounds, thunder, fireworks. In fact, one year I remember I took them out to watch fireworks live. They were snoozing in their dog carriers because we had a long day at the park. Only thing that bothers them is the sight of other dogs. lol Then they go crazy...

| The fireworks were really bad near our house last night as well. Also, there were a few gun shots coming from the apartment complex down the street. Bella was unbothered. However, it's thundering now and she's snuggled up to me. She's telling me, "Please make that big growly dog stop barking!"

| Fortunately we live right in the middle of a small town and all fireworks were held at areas in the county. Heard one or two but they were no worse than mild thunder. No problem with Gidget. |

| Pennsylvania just pasted a law residents are allowed to buy and set off fire works. All was quiet just a few firecrackers in the distance. 10PM I take Cody out for his last wee wee, just as he squats it sounded like an M80 or louder went off, he jumps out of squat position and heads for the door. I coax him back, nothing was going on, he squats, BOOM, another M80, so much for last wee wee of the night. He wouldn't even go to the bed until he made sure I was right behind him, then he crawled under the blankets and pressed himself against me. Guess he's afraid of fireworks

| Piper doesn't much care. If someone sets off a random firecracker, she may bark once, but usually she'll look to me and we agree it makes us jump, but it's no big deal. |
