Yorkie stroller! Help please! Hello friends, I am in a search of a good stroller for my female Yorkie. Can someone suggest one that is happy with? I have a friend of mine who bought some cheap one and with the time he had to replace it. That is why I prefer to spend some more but to get a reliable stroller. Thank you! |
We like the Guardian Gear strollers like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007WMZ7XE...a-278270522535 Three wheels and inflatable tires are very important for having a smooth ride. |
I got one for Gidget at PetSmart. Works fine for us. |
I much prefer four wheels, and quite frankly, feel the cheaper ones are fine. I have used this particular style for years. I have 2, one in pink and one in leopard print. It is very roomy and I can put up to four pups in it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Leopard...0AAOSwEK9Tw34Z |
This Guardian Gear looks very well made!Thank you! Will consider it for sure |
Hi yorkiedaddy17. Big stroller fan here; invested in two strollers (both by PetGear) say 15 years ago. The strollers with three large wheels seem to have the best maneuverability (by far). See comment by pstinard, above, about inflatable tires. The tires on mine are not inflatable. While my strollers have zippered closures, many newer models feature clips or other mechanisms that don't involve a zipper. While my zippers are still in good shape, they are a hassle to get started (have been since day one). The no-zip feature will only be a consideration if you actually close up the stroller frequently. |

Thank you for the clearing the difference about three and four wheels! So I guess PetGear should be a really good brand if you still have them after 15 years of using! :) |

Your mileage may vary; your needs may be different. I found stroller prices online to be more competitive, but I would definitely shop local stores and see them in person to check out how easily they maneuver and collapse. |
This is the one I have that I absolutely love love love. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It was worth every penny. I find the handles on most strollers to be to short but this one is adjustable. This is their website where they still list it Pet Strollers – IBIYAYA. I have been through 3 different strollers. The one with air tires lasted only a few weeks and the first one I bought which was a cheap one Callie found a place that wasn’t zipped and got half way out. |

I totally disagree about the 3 vs 4 wheels. I have heard a lot of complaints about the 3 wheeled ones. I don't care for them and find them not to be as easy to maneuver. My suggestion is to go to a store if you can and try them each out before buying one. |
As to a bumpy ride...not sure where you are going, but I know I don't take my pups out anywhere where I have those concerns. I mostly go to stores ... and out on sidewalks. Never an issue . I also don't ever have to deal with flat tires. I would not buy one with inflatable tires...but, that is just MY opinion. LOL I hate anything that could be a problem later. Flat tires are not my thing. |
