There are also MANY threads on here if you search for pet strollers and you might find more helpful hints.
When I had a bicycle as a kid, we'd carry tire patch kits and a portable air pump clamped below the bicycle seat in case of such emergencies. I don't expect anyone to do this for a dog stroller--I was just reminiscing :D. I do remember getting a flat tire on a country road miles from the nearest town, but I was prepared!

Well I see so many different opinions, some say three wheels are better, others say four wheels are better. Cheap or more expensive - same thing :) Inflatable tyres sound so tempting too..

But like with every other thing it comes to everyone's tastes and preferences, daily routines and where would most often the stroller will be used. And onother thing - the temperament of the little sweetie. If he gets exited seeing other dogs or not.

So thanks again everyone for sharing their experience. I guess have much of an idea now. Next step is going to a store and try to have some "test drives". :)

No disrespect to anyone. I never got the point of needing a stroller for my dog. Can someone please enlighten me.

I would be be happy to. My 3 year old had Legg-Calve-Perthes disease and has no left hip joint. He tires very easily and starts to pick his left leg up. Also, when we go to a flea market or our.local town all day market, they just can't go all day for 8-12 hours.

Thank you. He does great every day, but those marathon outings we take tucker him out. His brother just enjoys being lazy! Plus, we're greedy and want them witth us.

Katy got her first stroller after I learned how vulnerable these pups were to hawks, owls and eagles. She was just a tiny thing and loved sight-seeing in our desert mountain neighborhood. The stroller was a way for her to enjoy the desert without all the risk.

She enjoyed the stroller so much that I got a second one to keep indoors. We used it often. If I was in the kitchen cooking--Katy would sit up in the stroller and almost feel a part of the action. If there were guests or workman in the house--folks who might not know to look for her, Katy went in the stroller.

When we went to friends; homes, Katy's stroller came along.

More recently, I had a third stroller at my sister-in-law's home. They have two larger dogs who play on the rough side sometimes. Katy was safe and happy in the stroller.

We had been taking long walks in tree covered areas for some time before Katy began to fail. She enjoyed those walks so much--I didn't want her to lose out or get bored. Stroller to the rescue. She was as alert and happy as ever in her rolling machine--we'd walk, and walk, and walk.

Well I like to take mine to pet events Callie did not like being on the ground but loved the events. Well I could not carry a 16 pound yorkie so I got a stroller and she loves it. It was also helpful when she had 3 leg surgeries to keep her with me and take her outside. Now she’s a senior and her legs get tired if she walks to much so it’s like her little doggy wheel chair. I don’t use it with my healthy ones that want to walk.

I got Bella's stroller following her luxating patella surgery so she could go outside and see the sights without the risk of reinjuring her knee. Now that she's recovered, we still use it if we want to park her outside while we're doing yard work or barbecuing so she can watch us. Also, if we want to take a longer walk than Bella wants, we can put her in the stroller and walk her for part of the way. It's very convenient.

Mostly I use the pet gear no zip stroller but because I am a runner I have a jogger style that is best for running. Mine have lasted forever. That being said you can always purchase more wheel from pet gear!
