| Lol, I remember when one of my girls use to hump her toys, they look so silly and cute lol. Maybe she's looking for extra attention.

| My older girl does it when she gets mad. It's a dominance thing. Is she spayed?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Our Pfeiffer has always humped her donut bed. It has never bothered us in the least. I wouldn't let it bother you. I mean, as long as she doesn't hump people, who really cares, ya know? It probably comforts/soothes her in some manner - so I'd just let her be.

| My boy Mystic has been humping the past few days. We have only had him 3 weeks and he is 9 weeks old. My husband says we need to stop him so he wont embarass us in front of company. Personally it does not bother me! |

| I don't think we can ever really know all the reasons for humping. If the humping is gets a reaction from you, it could be, at least in part, an attention getting mechanism. Like a child doing something unacceptable in front of guests. If it were me I would simply pick her up, without a word and never scolding or showing displeasure, and remove her from the room for a short period of time. If you do this every single time she humps, she will learn that humping = time away from her human family. |
