I'm in Williamsburg, BK, right next to downtown Manhattan. I don't have a car or drive, so unfortunately you would have to rent a car or take public transportation. I didn't realize Rockaway, NJ, was a bit further from the city and that it would require nyc driving :o But hiring a car is a possibility. But that might be complicated. So if Gew could meet you at the ABE airport and drive you there to NJ as she so graciously and generously offered, that might be easier. But we are definitely here if you need us in any way! I could even see if a rescue group I know nearby does any sort of transportation. Let me know! |
Well this has played out in a very interesting way. I did not get Mackenzie. I was approved but they gave her to someone else. So the good news is she will have her forever home when she gets to NJ. I am happy as long as the outcome is good for her:) |
So happy Mackenzie found a home to live out the rest of her days. It was awesome Jay that you tried to get her with the help of Gew. Better days are coming for little Mackenzie. |

While they say she was adopted, her picture is still on Petfinder. This is the second time this particular rescue promised a dog and then gave it to someone else. I wonder..... Gew |
They told me that when Mackenzie arrived in NJ that there was someone waiting for her. I needed to hear that, of course, up do wonder why it is taking so long. Maybe they just forgot to take her pic off Petfinders after she was placed. Hope she is not still in South Texas what with the hurricane and all the flooding. |
I just emailed EHR to ask them to confirm if MacKenzie has been placed as they told me she had. I question this because the pup is still listed on Pet Finder. I told them I would retrieve her from anywhere. Soooo, I asked them to confirm that she was in a home, not in-waiting somewhere. |

Just this minute heard from EHR. It said that tomorrow MacKenzie would be moved from Texas to NJ where she has someone waiting to rescue her. While that is some good news it does disturbed me that this pup has been has been all this time without a family when it was not necessary! |
I wonder why that baby was held for 3 1/2 weeks. 3 1/2 weeks held in a cage poor thing. Hope she gets to her new home quickly. |
Transfer Wonder if she is being flown? What about the temperature? The airlines used to disallow animal transfer when the temperature was over a certain point and it is pretty hot here in Dallas. |
Just checked petfinder.com and this one is no longer on the site. Hope this means Mackenzie has been placed in a loving home. |

Awesome I can't think of another word to describe you all, unless it would be amazing. I still cannot believe that people would throw away what was probably a lifelong pet... I am so happy to see that there is so much good in this group. |
