| Ok, sounds great, thank you I wanted to do a search before posting something that has been asked before, but the system seems to not allow me to make searches... Is there a reason for that or is it just not working at the moment? |

| Some members, myself included have been experiencing slowness in the system that could be one reason, also I see you have made 3 posts, new members posts are delayed my ADMIN. to ensure they are not spam, after you make 10 replies to any thread your posts and threads will appear instantly, that could be a reason also. I would try to do another search and wait 30 seconds, as I stated some members in different parts of the US are experiencing slowness.

| I can't do searches either but I attributed it to being on my phone. I think maybe the search box is a pop-up. So, you may want to see if you have pop-ups blocked on your computer. Just guessing here. Welcome! And best of luck with finding a good breeder. I found my boy at the local shelter; probably because he is older -- 9 years. I just adore him and would have no other. |

| Ah, thanks guys, the pop up thing might explain it. Or maybe that I have to reply to some more posts before being able to search.. Am loving looking around on here and seeing everyone's cuties! Hi to joy in Dorset - love yorkiepoos too! |

| Here are something’s that should be important no matter were you live. They should keep the pups until 12 weeks, not breed mixes, not use the word teacup, the puppies should be raised in a clean environment not in outbuildings or sheds, and if the breeder has lots of puppies it should be a concern.

| Thanks for the advice. With regards to health testing what should I be looking out for? I've read somewhere that "patella luxation" can be a problem in yorkies and that good breeders should be testing for this, is that right? |

| As far as I know there is no actual test except just checking the knees. A really good breeder should make sure there is no LP in any of the dogs lines and that her breeding pair is also free from it.
