New here, super worried. Hello, I am brand new to this. I have a 9 year old yorkie who is my entire world! Bella is relatively healthy, minus serious periodontal disease and Moderate collapsing trachea which we have been very blessed that does not cause many issues. This Monday (6/19) Bella had yet another dental procedure. I always tried to keep up with her teeth, but due to numerous reasons beyond our control, she has lost most of her teeth. (Doesn't slow her sass or eating down at all!) I noticed a pink lump on her gum so she had that removed and biopsied along with most teeth removed. The bump was right up against a loose tooth. Saw two vets and both believed it to be hyperplasia but still waiting on biopsy results for confirmation. She was on clindacure for about 10 days before procedure and now on clindacure for 10 days after. I noticed two days ago when checking for lumps or swelling after procedure that she has 2 lumps on each side of her neck below her jaw. I am assuming they are enlarged lymph nodes. I called my vet and she said she isn't "terribly surprised" and to keep giving clindacure through weekend and call on Monday if they don't go down. So far they are not going down. They aren't increasing either. It's tough to say their exact size but they aren't too large. probably the size of a large pea/small bean. Obviously I am terrified that this is lymphoma. I see no other symptoms at all. She is as sassy as ever. Eating and drinking and bathrooming regularly. I am wondering if it is from the dental procedure. Or maybe even allergies? She has always licked/chewed her paws and has been scratching her chin a lot as well. I am really panicked and can't imagine the thought of cancer with her. Anyone have any advice or similar experience? This seems like a wonderful community. Thanks for your time.

Sorry to hear about your mom's yorkie. No, they are nowhere near that size. J am taking her to the vet in a couple hours. Hoping that it has nothing serious. She has been more active than usual today.

Update I just had Bella at the vet. Her biopsy from the lump on her gums was back and was just hyperplasia. No malignancy!! She did not feel any other swollen lymph nodes anywhere else and said in her neck they may be "subjectively swollen" or at least the one. They are going to try another antibiotic and I also wanted to do an FNA to be safe. They took her back but the doctor said that there was not enough in her nodes to send to pathology, which she sees as a good sign and confirms that they may not be very swollen at all. She got some cells on a slide that she is going to stain to be sure and call tomorrow.

Ipdate Just spoke to the vet. She was able to look at her slides and didn't see anything really. She confirmed again that the fact that she was not really able to get anything makes her believe they aren't really very enlarged if at all. We are going to start the new antibiotic of clavamox as she really believes it is residual from her dental. She said if they get bigger or I feel anything else to bring her back and we can attempt another FNA. I am going to calm down and take this as great news! Thanks again
