				   | Do you eat with your dog(s)? Currently I keep my maltese in their own room. The boy is a menace, & the girl is a "leaky peeky" (that's one of my pet names for her). I like to eat vanilla ice cram cones & let my dogs lick some of it. I met a woman a week or so back, she was telling me, she & her dog eat everything together. I would love that, but I can't trust them on the carpet. |

				   | My boy is banned from the kitchen when I am preparing my food or his and while I am eating. Snack time it depends what I am snacking on, if it's healthy he will get a piece. leaky peeky lol cute

				   | Get the peeky cause the way she looks up at me from the floor, when I lay on the couch in their room, and she puts her front legs up. She is kinda shy too (while the boy is an in your face people pup). She has taken many years to get used to me. But yesterday she made a big milestone; peaking up at me & letting me pet her. |

				   | We eat with the dogs. Its hard to avoid with kids around. I try to keep the kids from sharing food with them. The fur babies will sit and stare at you while you eat and act as though they are so deprived. Those big brown eyes just rip your heart out. I have a bag of freeze dried treats that I keep by my desk and in a table in the living room for when we are eating away from the dinning room. That way we are not tempted to give them people food. They love those treats and they are much better for them than any people food. |

				   | I don't let Emma eat something and then I eat behind her. But I am a sucker for sharing and dropping pizza crusts and bits that I'm not going to finish.

				   | Of course. Tibbe usually eats from his bowl in the kitchen while I sit down to eat and more often than not, he brings each piece of food to within eyeshot and chews it so I can see him. It's so cute!

				   | I used to do that as a kid but not as an adult. My house is half wood floor half carpet and I couldn't imagine not having them following me around. Are they puppies and just not potty trained yet?

| YT 500 Club Member | Yes our Baby Yorkie eats with us. His bowl is right by the table. We keep healthy food to drop in his dish with his kibble. He really, really wants to sit at the table with us, but not allowed, except when our grown daughter comes to eat with us, and before you know it he's in her lap.

				   | Sunny DEMANDS dinner no later than 4; then he wants whatever is being prepared for dinner for the rest of us. He hovers around my dad the entire time because he'll slip him something (if he can eat it- he's prone to bladder stones so we watch his diet). In the mornings (well after Sunny has had his own breakfast) he hovers around my dad for his toast, which he doesn't give to him. Nevertheless he whines & carries on. If my dad is having a snack he has to stand up because Sunny will literally jump on him to pull the food out of his mouth! (Notice any patterns here? Basically Sunny is a piggy and my dad is totally subservient to his every whim, lol) |

				   | Sophie eats 4 times a day and typically on her own schedule. Her breakfast is usually brought to her in bed with my husband. She likes to go right back to sleep after breakfast. The rest of her meals are given on the floor closest to myself or my husband. She loves being watched while she eats...so we tend to have to sit near her or she needs to see us during her meal time! We would free feed her but she needs her kibble softened with water so we don't want that to sit out all day! She rarely gets anything of ours other than a tiny piece of banana or carrot, but she has a really sensitive tummy. She is banned from the kitchen when I am cooking so she can't get to anything that might fall. |

				   | Most human food is Ok for dogs, but you have to be careful. Many things, like grapes, chocolate, & I've heard potatoes (& more) are poisonous to dogs. I have more trouble though, keeping the cats away from the dog food. |

				   | Thank you; yes he is! I just baked pumpkin cookies and he made my dad go in the kitchen and eat some (because he knows Daddy eating=Sunny eating). And now he's barking at my mom telling her to go to bed. |
