| New member but an old hand Hi folks. I'm a new member and this is my first time in any online community anywhere. I'm hoping to get this right. At the ripe age of 57 I have had the privilege to own yorkies all my life. It's good to see such interest in a proper age old breed (even of they are not in vogue at the moment) Over the years I have learned a trick or two. I have two yorkies (both are over 10kg) with a full pedigree. Rather than go into how this happens, I would just like to say that the larger of the breed does exist. |

| Welcome to YT, I have had only larger yorkies, weights ranged from 9 pounds to 17 pounds, my rescue boy is 12 pounds. Yes bigger yorkies are not "rare" by any means.

| Welcome, and yeah I don't think bigger is rare or even a bad thing.. It's more of if it's smaller than 4 pounds than it's not so bueno. So no worries about bigger, just would worry if it was smaller than 4pounds. |

| Hello Glen & welcome. I've had Yorkies for years too but haven't posted much on here. I have just two at the moment as well, one small one, one a little bigger than the standard, plus a Skye Terrier. Did you realise there is a European board, under Regional at the top of this page, where some of the U.K. Members post though nowhere near as busy as the main boards? |
