| My Yorkie Hates Housework:/ So do I for that matter, but it has to be done. Does anyone else have an issue with crazy barking and biting anytime a vacuum, broom, mop, or any other cleaning device is brought out? Max is so nuts, he even gets angry at the site of the Windex bottle. Cleaning is now a two-person job for me. I clean, while someone else either holds him or takes him for a walk. I'd love any ideas to get him used to the sound and sight of cleaning tools!

| Joey barks and attacks the vacuum. I can get him to stop but no one else can so we usually have someone hold or take him into another room.

| For some reason ALL my now passed girls were afraid of the "fly swatter", maybe because they saw me swattering at flying insects. When they were naughty, not listening to me I would threaten them with "momma's gonna get the fly swatter", they would scatter in different directions. My adopted boy has the same fear lol, scared of the fly swatter lol. I go through the same thing as you, but, I carry the "fly swatter" lol, when he barks or lunges for the vac or mop I show him the fly swatter and off he goes lol. If my boy is not listening to me I threaten him with "momma's gonna get the fly swatter" THEN he'll behave lol. Maybe you should try the "fly swatter" method lol. Just flap it around the house a few times saying "fly swatter". I don't know why it works but it does for me lol.

| Willie does that too and it drives me bonkers. I have to walk around with him in one arm and the vacuum in the other.

| Yep Deuce has a vacuum fetish too. He sits and barks by the cleaning closet until I take out the vacuum for the morning kitchen cleanup. When I turn it on he's all over it and running around. Eventually he does calm down but initially he goes crazy and won't leave it alone.

| Cheyenne hates the vacuum, as she barks and lunges at it. Rusty loves flies smashed with the fly swatter! He eats them. Don't ask me why, but he does. He gets so happy when I bring it off the wall. We go on "fly hunts" all over the house. The other Yorkies would not be caught dead eating a dead fly off the fly swatter.

| Emma hides. She moves out the way when the vacuum, broom, steamer, etc comes out. I think its because when I'm cleaning I'm moving and if she's in the way she gets ran over.

| Duchess hates anything that cleans the floor......vaccuum, mop, steamer....it doesn't matter. She goes crazy and won't stop barking until I put it away. The only reason she hates them is because they are doing her job......she spends all day looking for food on the floor so she gets pissed when something else is stealing her food crumbs |
