| Hello Yorkie Community Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here dropping by to say hi! I am just wondering whether a wireless fence is a good investment for my puppy? Awhile ago I have seen a news about stolen dogs in Illinois wherein the bandits pretended to be an animal control officers. I just wanna make sure that my pup will be safe from these criminals. |

| Welcome to YT, NO a wireless fence is NOT safe. It keeps your dog in but other dogs or ppl or prey birds can get in that wireless area. Forget about a wireless fence. And NEVER leave your dog outdoors alone unsupervised, not only for the safety of other animals and ppl harming or stealing your dog, but for the mischief puppies / dogs get into like eating insects or other things, digging under fence and getting out and lost, there are so many safety hazards a puppy / dog can get into, they must always be supervised. There are other inexpensive ways of fencing in an area for your pup, but keep in mind pups grow fast so what ever you put up, do it for a full grown dog.

| Thank you @matese for enlightening me about the purpose of the wireless fence. I will just build a fence then to ensure that my puppy can securely roam around both on the front and back yard. |
