It is very interesting to see plagiarism is alive and well excepted in places other than educational settings. I love the net, I can copy someone else's pic's pass them off for my own, do the same with their binding legal contract, next thing I will be able to buy a medicine patent on the internet!!! So, not cool.


Passing off someone else's work as your own, whether word for word or merely the creative ideas. This can amount to copyright infringement if permission has not been obtained from the copyright owner for use of the expressive elements of the work. Even if permission is granted, putting your name on someone else's work is still plagiarism and is unethical within artistic, scientific, academic and political communities.

They are very similar in language except that the Elvis breeder doesn't have the spay/neuter requirement.

I wonder who wrote the contract.Maybe it is one that the AKC recommends to it's breeders.

Maybe they used the same attorney?

Well, since Kimberly is rather upset about the word for word usage, I am not thinking they had the same attorney, or that the AKC have a universal breeder/owner contract. Especially since I've read a lot of yorkie breeder contract's and her's was the first one to mention the "Isoflurane" gas, and injectable anesthesia. I feel horrible to say that someone keep's robbing her for her thing's...That's just terrible.

I don't thonk that is the case with this breeder. Where did you see that....cuz I missed it?

I am still waiting for Kimberly to tell us who drafted her contract....then we will know why they are similar....

at the top of the page, Kim, it says Shopping cart. When you click on it you get this. They are making these living breathing creatures seem like a item, like a shirt or something. checkout, trash can, Quanity box??

I am going to assume that they are simply using a templated website designed for most businesses that sell products and they have not taylored the website yet to suit their needs in this area because with all the good info they have there and the obvious time and care they put into their dogs I don't think anyone could seriously think that they would just accept payment and ship a puppy without communicating with the purchaser and screening them as a potential forever home for their puppy.

Maybe I am naive, I would be willing to bet that it is simply a method for obtaining payment once the buyer and the breeder have agreed on the fact that a purchase is in the best interests of the puppy.

I will email or call this breeder tomorrow and see what the real story is nd report back on this post. I will ask about the contract too.
