| Anyone use Belly Bands???? My guy will be 3yrs old. He is small and in the beginning I tried getting him potty trained to no luck. He would go outside and then a little later go on his wee wee pad. This was the same method I used for my previous yorkie and it worked for him. I would walk my previous dog 2x a day sometimes 3 and he would hold it. I never had to keep wee wee pads down nor did he ever mark in the house. My little guy mostly goes on the pad so I don't really walk him anymore. Also he goes on the wee wee many many times a day. I think it's bc he's so small and can't hold his urine. The issue I have is that besides the wee wee he ocassionally marks around the house and now I'm thinking of getting him a belly band. It's quite embarrassing when company comes over and find his pee on the floor and not in the wee wee pad. Any suggestions for a good one that you use and does not completely drench the dog. One that can absorb and works really well? |

| I used the fabric type belly bands that I put a ladies panty shield on and wrapped it around my pup. Seemed to work well.

| Airplane (on this site) recommended Best Belly Bands on Facebook to me. (Thanks again Airplane) on I ordered a couple they have great patterns. A lot depends on the pad you use as a liner. bubba is a little on the big side but a thin liner works for him. Mainly when he is wear it, he seems to realize he gets wet . As I said they have many patterns, they are inexpensive and you get to measure your dog before ordering so you get the right size.

| I'm so glad the belly bands are working for you. They've been great for my nearly seventeen year old shihtzu who pees during sleeping. About the incontinence pads, I don't know much about all the different types cause I'm a guy, but with some trial and error I found the thicker maximum absorbency ones work best for my dog Bijou. He pees tons and it just soaks it all up. The belly bands are made to the same width as a pad. I'll attach a picture. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I've tried several and let me tell you, they are all very different. I swear by these to no end - they're thin, super absorbent, and no extra pad is needed. They're by EZ Whelp - which is where I get my washable pee pads as well, made of the same material.

| I got mine on Amazon. The brand is Lillypet. One of my yorkies is also 3 pounds and it fits him perfectly. I don't use them often, my dogs only need it for rooms with carpet which is only a couple of the rooms in my house which are usually gated off but the few times I've used them, they worked. You can also insert a woman's panty liner which will keep the band clean. If you don't use it the pad is still pretty absorbent. |
