So the owner mentioned wanting a big dog to run the property and play guard dog. Shop I'm fostering my friends dog who is about 210lbs on all fours his back comes above my waist. When i introduced him to Toby (15 lb yorkie) and when Toby went to pounce and play, Slick straight ran away! And if more than one if my babies approached him at the same time, he would run away! Funniest s**t ever. Is been 24 hours now and they are all best buds. Earlier Scott was irritated at Izzy and he yelled for her to come to him cause she want listening and he went to scoop her up and slick stopped him by putting his arm in his mouth before he reached Izzy. He didn't bite, he just stopped his arm. Scott would never hurt Izzy but i guess slick noticed his irritation nonetheless and just intervened gently. He's already protective of the little ones. And Izzy was the one scaring him the most yesterday. Funny how dogs work. Now they follow the big guy everywhere and sleep wherever he sleeps. Its adorable.

Sounds like your boyfriend is perhaps a little too reactionary and aggressive with the little ones. Maybe he should take breath and keep his ego out of it. I like that Slick intervened. Sorry, I'm a bit intense because his behavior reminds me of someone I knew (thankfully) a lifetime ago...

Actually Scott wouldn't dream of hurting any of them. Izzy just doesn't listen unless you sound aggressive cause he used to play fight with her and it was the tone he used ... Usually when you sound mad at her she runs to you thinking your gonna play fight with her. She gets happy butt and starts backtalking you... Its hard to explain... But in person its funny. Its part of the reason they don't know when they've even done something wrong cause he's trained them to think he's always playing when he uses that tone.
Unfortunately i no longer have a laptop to upload pictures from... Or believe me i would. Maddy is miffed with Slick right now cause he licked her face and slimed her a good one. And Toby spends half his time trying to punk the big dog by standing over his head or pushing his butt against him to no avail. Slick just ignores him and makes him crazy...lol. So now he's taken to running directly underneath him when they are running the yard. So far no ones tripped. Good thing he's 14 pounds and not tiny.
