Shopping list while looking for my puppy

In the meanwhile, my SHOPPING LIST preparing for le puppy .

- Bench (two doors or one door? Pink or the black one?)
- Bed/pillow (have some that my cat never used)
- Blankies (bought thick blanket already from the baby section)
- Potty pads
- Food (will purchase when I have my baby, RC or Orijen?)
- Food/water bowl
- Treat and snacks (prefer home cook food / orijen snacks)
- Chew toys / soft toys (I saw a sale at mylittlepony )
- Harness and leash (bought two already)
- Outfits (I couldn't resist a sweater and pj's lol )
- Insurrance (will ask the vet about this when the time comes)

I also saw a puppy ren (pink or blue) but undecided. A dog carrier is also very practical but not on the list as I can get this later on even if I do have my baby already.

Did I miss anything for my preparation?

I used a crate for lily when I first brought her home to sleep in. One of the best toys I bought for her to chew on was a key ring toy from Pet Smart! She chewed it like crazy! On the insurance, we have Embrace and have been very very pleased with them! I would also recommend Nutri Cal to keep on hand.

Orijen is definitely a top notch food...

Yes! I actually use acana bc my girl can't handle high protein of orijen , so acana is the next best thing

Yes just so. I add in benedryl saline wash nutrical Vet wrap. I also when we go hiking add in splints.

I think I got all the basic in my list now. I'm getting it online too cause in the actual store I'm like "IGNORE SHOPPING LIST BUY ALL THINGS".

Yes, everyone around me is telling me to get the puppy already but I haven't found good breeders so far. It's either too small in size (have a thread about this) or I just don't trust the place lol Maybe I'm overthinking too.

I'm wanting a girl but more boys on the market for some reason...

I love my lil girl...but my boy is so much more friendly n social in comparison. She just is completely obsessed with my husband n I lol. Love them both for diff reasons

A seller told me every 6 months a girl gets some bleeding.. Except if sprayed I suppose... SO thats i guess the biggest difference.

I got my girl spayed at 9 mos before she ever went into heat.

I have fed RC since the late '70s....have kept my entire breeding program on RC, from pre-natal thru birth thru puppies to youngsters to seniors........my dogs do great on it, they love it and I am very happy with the health and condition of my dogs. I would NOT offer a "menu" of dog food....you are asking for confusion and trouble!!! I wanted to suggest a great book...."Yorkies For Dummies"....it is a super book that is chock full of information that you will need and you will refer to it often!

I wanted to add a much better supplement than that NutraCal for any sugar boost, is Dr.Millers Nutra Drops....much better and much more complete and not near as messy....

I had the same problem when I was looking for my Lily. It seemed everyone I checked on was terrible breeders. Then one day my friend sent me the name of Lily's breeder. I checked her out and it was all good. I contacted her and then Lily just fell in my lap! I picked Lily out at 2 weeks old, went back twice to visit her and was able to see the parents and where she was keeping them, and then picked her up at 12 weeks. It worked out perfectly! So don't give up! The right breeder is out there! I will add I paid a lot more for Lily but I think getting a better breeder makes it all worth it! Also, I would ask about a health guarantee.
