| Forgive me for a stupid question I think I know the answer but will ask anyway. I feed Penny Fromm dry dog food. She used to love it but lately won't eat it. One thing she loves is fish. If I switch to the Fromm's salmon and tuna dry, do I have to introduce it slowly? |

| Not a "stupid" question at all! It would be best to introduce the new Fromm variety slowly, but if your Penny is anything like my three, she will pick out the kibbles she likes and leave the rest. So my advise is to mix the two kibbles, but not stress too much if she only eats one of them. Last edited by chattiesmom; 07-05-2016 at 07:30 AM. |

| Yep, Chattiesmom is so right! Cali would do the same thing. So I put down several bowls with a little in each one and watched which one she liked. Then I watch for an GI problems, like diarrhea. I have found ghatnincan change the protein around with Fromm and it does not seem to upset my Cali's tummy, that being said all dogs are different. Good luck

| No question is stupid. I would mix it but like the others have said she will probably pick out the new food lol. If she does and gets diarrhea you can add a little pumpkin to her food.

| Since we're on the subject of picky eaters...I've resumed giving Piper Nutro Natural dry food, but she won't eat it unless I mix in Cesar 'wet' (little trays) food. She absolutely gobbles that combo and literally licks her dish clean (this is completely unheard of...)--then looks to me for more. The only flavor she likes is the grilled chicken. I don't know if the Cesar dog food is ok to give Piper or not? Does anyone have a better recommendation as to what I might add to her kibble or advice or comments? I very much appreciate any and all suggestions, truly! |

| Did a similar 'recipe' for a long while, but one day Piper just quit eating it...and sometimes now she refuses to take chicken as a treat. But chicken (or chicken-flavored) is the only thing she likes...(sigh). Oh these adorable little enigmatic characters---sometimes I think they put us through these trials just to make sure we stay truly connected!!! Thank you for your suggestion--it used to work!! |

I rotate between flavours with each bag. For example, when I have 1/4 of the current Fromm bag left, I buy a new Fromm flavour, and slowly introduce it until that 1/4 is done and I'm on the new flavour completely. I do this so that my little ones get a nice variety of proteins and also with the hope that they won't develop some intolerance to certain proteins. My theory is also that if I switch flavours this way, they won't get bored of their meals. How is Penny doing on the switch to the salmon and tuna?

I too use some Cesar's along with RC. I don't think I would use Cesar's as there only food but it must taste really good because in the morning it gets there breakfast in them . The rest of the day it is just RC kibble. | |

| Thanks, mybellababy! It's crazy how much Piper likes this stuff, which is one of the reasons I questioned if it's alright for her! She gets mainly kibble, but I add Cesars to make it interesting. |
