My yorkie refuses to go left down street? When I walk her outside and get to the end of the driveway she will freeze if I go left, but she is fine if I go right. She freezes to the point that I literally would have to drag her. I always go right now cause it doesn't matter what way I go and I'm not gonna drag her. I'm just confused why she will put up a fight if I go left and is fine if I go right. There are no other pets in site , so I don't know what her issue is. I'm just curious why she does this. Thanks

Probably territorial marking or some sort of danger that she smell in that direction. I would use treat and give her assurance that that direction is fine. Maybe pick her up for a bit and walk her in your arms in that direction to assure her it's fine and mommy is going to protect her.

There are a bunch of stray cats that hang out in the one neighbors yard in that direction, I'm assuming they feed them, bUT ive seen them the othere way to. I didn't think dogs cared about cats markings though.

Sometimes Yorkies get a little stubborn in where they want to walk. If Bella digs in her heels, I pick her up gently and carry her a few steps in the direction I want to go. Eventually, she gets the message that we are walking in THAT direction.

I do that sometimes when I go to the other side of the house and she's fine when I put her down in the yard. I just thought it as very weird that she was refusing to go a certain way, she doesn't do it anywhere else just that one area. She must be smelling something she doesn't like.

| Could be a desire to stick to a routine, rather than fear. My boys like a combination of routine and exploring new places. When we go our walking place, they want to follow the same route each time. If we go somewhere new, they are happy to explore and follow my lead.
