| Is she too spoiled? I get told a lot that precious is very spoiled. & Out of all the furbabies in my family I can honestly say she gets treated the best. She likes to lay on my stomach & be rubbed. Sometimes she gets impatient & will nudge her face against my hand & im afraid that she'll get poked in the eye She has so many toys & even has a little toy box (& there's so many others under our bed) & as soon as I clean up our room she's barking for every single last toy to be put back & she doesn't even play with them all. I also can't go to the store without getting her something & before I leave I tell her I'll bring her something back. My mom always tries to stop me in a joking way She also will not sleep in her own beds anymore & she has 3! She jumps into my fuzzy circular chair that I put beside the bed for her, then jumps onto the bed from there, & then fixes the many blankets the way she wants them to be(on nights where she doesn't wait for me to lift the blanket for her to snuggle beside me). She literally sleeps so good that she makes little snore noises sometimes! She runs around the house doing whatever she pleases like she owns the place lol She literally acts like a little person & I even get mad when people refer to her as a dog. & she's also afraid of other people's dogs I even tend to care more about her than I do for my own self. I'd risk my life for her & some of my relatives seem to think its funny how close we are. Especially since I'm extremely shy & back when I had no friends when I was younger she was always there & still is We can be standing at the front door & I'll put my hand on the screen door & then she'll lift her paw up! It's the cutest thing ever & also before I got her I was so scared of dogs & wanted to cry because I had no choice & now I want to cry at the thought of losing her |

| As long as she is well behaved and you are not going into debt, I see no problem. Years ago I used to tell people it was ok to spoil the one dog I had because I never intended for her to be a productive member of society as in having a job etc. If she is not well behaved, then that needs to be fixed IMO.

| I asked my Yorkies, and they told me on good authority that there is no such thing as spoiling a Yorkie, so you don't have anything to worry about.

| Piper concurs! How's that new baby girl doing, Russpilot? I mean, other than not being at all spoiled...! Too funny (and exactly correct)! |

| Our little Yorkies love us unconditionally. Why not do the same for them. If you want to spoil your baby, then I say go ahead. They are always there for us, we can count on their love and devotion. They don't judge us. They just accept us for who are are. This doesn't always apply to friends and family. |

| I have to agree with Russpiloit, there is NO SUCH THING AS A SPOILED YORKIE lol. That is YOUR baby. I do the same thing when I go out, I tell Cody mama will bring you home a surprise, and I DO lol, Yorkies were meant to be LOVED and SPOILED, we do not even realize we are spoiling them lol. My boy is spoiled rotten as were my now passed 4 girls. They are my babies. I seldom ever refer to my pups as DOGS, they are my BABIES,my puppies no matter how old they may be. You keep loving that baby and spoiling her rotten, and let her have as many toys under your bed as she wants lol, after all, they ARE her toys. Pay no attention to negative comments, that is YOUR BABY.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that does that lol. & yess it seems like you can't resist loving them I even try to give my grandmothers yorkie, Roxy some of Precious's toys that she doesn't use even though she never plays with toys for some reason but she gladly takes treats. & I most definitely will! Also, Cody is so adorable & im sorry about the loss of your girls | |

| I think as long as it's not a nuisance or troublesome to anyone, who cares if she's too spoiled or not? If there's any issue with behavior (like biting anyone, being aggressive, etc) that's a different story. Magnus prefers COLD FRESH water so even if his water bowl is FULL of water, if it's luke warm, he goes over to the water dispenser and paws at it. Letting us know his highness wants new water. Zoey... She's bit like your furbutt when it comes to toys and wanting belly rubs, etc.. I think many of us love our furbutts the way a parent would a human child. I would also run into a burning building to save my Magnus/Zoey with no hesitation. |
