| Layla is home!!! She is finally home and doing awesome! !! As soon as we got home I gave her a dose of dr millers I have baby food down and kibble water with Pedialyte she is eating at both and drinking! !! I left her play for a little like 10mins then put her in pack and play. The sock works perfect for a shirt!!! I will say she missed her mommy, if I get up and walk away she just cries and cries, how do I brake her from that? ? I don't want her crying to burn energy, or sugar. .. she was sent home with meds for intestines / bowels.. thanks again for all your advice and prayers!! Oo 1 more thing she is up to 1.2.6 so definitely gained some weight back!! |

| That's wonderful news for both of you! I'm very happy for you. Hopefully Layla continues to eat/drink and gain weight so that she can live a long and healthy life.

| Congratulations!! You stay the course, dont get frantic over simple things, dont overthink little things she does, and just take deep breaths and relax....she is starting over, healthy and "fixed".....she will be....SHOULD be..... on "cruise control" for a month or so, adjusting to her controlled diet, her water intake with the Pedialyte....dont start introducing new food items to just CONFUSE the issue......just let her be her, dont get in a snitch over simple things she may do or try to pull on you....a little later on, we can discuss backing down on the NutraDrops....even keel, stay the course.... YT 500 Club Member | So very happy you have your little girl home. And hoo-Ray for the sock shirt. Most socks are made for warmth so it should work well for her. As for her crying when you leave the room, that's another story. Personally I couldn't take it. She's been through so much & is such a tiny little girl, I would probably pick her up, or how about a chest pack she could ride alone with you as you work in the house. Best of luck to you & the Angel

| Great baby is home and eating. I agree with Shicks, she's been through so much, a little pampering for now, until she's stronger, keep the stress down.

| Nutra Drops are to keep her surgar up!!! Very important! !! You really should have them on hand for your puppy expecially for how little and young yours is!!! Should have it 4x a day. Thank you for your prayers, Layla was doing awesome but she has not ate yet this morning so I'm getting nervous I'm going to give it a hour and if she still don't eat I'm taking her back to hospital to get her surgar levels checked!! She ate like a champ yesterday and last night so she just might not be hungry yet.. |

| NutraDrops are much more than just a formula to keep blood sugar up.....NutraCal is JUST a sugar boost....the NutraDrops are vitamin fortified and your baby can "live" just getting NutraDrops for an extended period of air travel or car trips....plus it is given during all stress inducing activities....any dog I have that has surgery of any kind, immediately goes on it......before trips, before/after vet visits if the dog is really upset from the visit........I give it routinely to my mothers having puppies, and after the pups are born, the very first thing that goes into their mouths is 1/4cc NutraDrops...it stimulates them to nurse, and it elevates their resistance to this entire trauma from birthing.....I have used and recommended it for many, many years....It is very easy to give, it tastes great, MOST dogs will fight you to get to it!, it isnt all horrendously sticky and gooey and messy.....and it is much more complete than NutraCal....extended car trips/plane trips, stress inducing activities of any kind, all respond well with this nutritional vitamin supplement.... I was happy to see that "amerah6" decided to use my recommendation for her baby! |

This is why I suggested giving it every 4 hours.....HOPEFULLY, when she gets more size and age on her, she is going to do better with controlling her own blood sugar, and you will be able to extend the time between doses...but for now and the forseeable future, stick with every 4 hours. My father always said,"Success speaks for itself". Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 03-25-2016 at 10:36 AM. | |
