| Chewie freaked out! She was matted, and I don't have the skills to do it- yet. I've been watching and learning. She loved the groomer, was fine, but I knew she was stressed. I also had MY hair done and I dye my hair all sorts of colors. I have been too busy to go in like I usually do every four weeks, so my hair was blondish light blue. I asked for a darker blue and shorter hair- lately I can't texturize so I went even shorter. I've been busy with her in the mornings. She SEEMED fine the day before, saturday- stressed, but playing with my daughters friend, a boy. I got her up sunday morning, and she hopped out, didn't greet me and waited by my bedroom door to greet my husband. I was confused, and came over to pick her up for our usual lets get breakfast routine, and she ran and hid from me. She would NOT come out. i had to physically go under the table, and put her on my chest. As a matter of fact, until I showed her her blankie, I couldn't even get close. Under the blanket, she started sniffing me and then did her sigh and nuzzled me, and cuddled. She would NOT look at my face. After breakfast, she then attacked my hair. Not playfully, either, ripping it out by the roots, well, trying I wasn't going to allow it. After thoroughly sniffing my hair, my shadow was back and she spent literally 20 minutes licking my leg and staying by my feet. I get my hair done very often and my colors change on a whim. Is this going to happen EVERY month?! She was so anxious about our routine being messed up by her being upset that she actually sat on my shoes when I went out to the store, so I wouldn't go. Usually she's kinda scared still to go with us, and she's starting doggie daycare so she can play with some other puppies so we decided to NOT push it with stress. So we left her with my daughter. I have heard of dogs doing this, of course. my dogs never did but I've never owned a yorkie. What gives? Yes, I'm pretty upset. I expected dogs to go by scent. I didn't realize that sight wise would freak them out. |

| I remember reading somewhere how their furrie got upset b/c they moved one piece of furniture. LOL Like ppl, every furrie is different. I think some are bit more sensitive than others. I guess you'll find out next time you get your hair done? |

| I have a mirror in my bedroom that Duchess can see her reflection. Whenever she gets a new haircut, she goes batsh*t crazy barking at that "other" dog . It takes her a few minutes for her to recognize herself |

She was so quiet and SO scared, and It hurts to see her trembling after all that confidence she gained. Trainer told me to be patient and she'll come around soon. | |
