| What's wrong with my sister's Yorkie, 'Happy'? At first (day before yesterday) we thought he had hurt his hind leg, because he'd been limping. The vet saw him when he started limping. He (the vet) examined Happy very carefully (no X-rays though) and said he was alright and then prescribed some swelling and pain relief pills on the assumption Happy might have hurt himself jumping around (that sounds just like Happy to do something like that, he's very energetic). But even after taking his medicine, Happy only got worse. He started having difficulty keeping both his hind legs straight, and to me, he looked disoriented (and very perplex, the poor thing). I shot some video of him this morning. Any ideas what might be wrong? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh my gosh - poor baby! I'd get him to an ortho or neuro specialist asap.

| I agree with the posts above. Happy needs to see an ortho vet. Looks like he could have a hip problem or something with his spine/back. He may appear a little disoriented as a reaction to pain. My Max is that way. Please keep us updated.

| Omgoodness. Get him to a chiropractor asap or at least until he can see a specialist. Poor baby. My chiropractor has adjusted dogs + horses for years.
