| Why "teacup" is not a good thing...article about other breeds https://dogbehaviorscience.wordpress...d-improvement/ This is not about yorkies, but shows how breeding for certain characteristics can hurt the breed. I assume yorkies have changed in ways that are less healthy as well. I found it interesting so I thought I'd share it. |

| This is a picture of a yorkie and yorkie puppy from a postcard dated 1908. They're much different today compared to then. The yorkies of today tend to have ears that stand up, have much better coats, have a golden face, and don't weigh nearly as much as they used to. They were 15-20 pounds back then. |
