| The reality of shelters I came across this facebook post by a man who works in a shelter. His post describes what it is like to work in a shelter and what really happens to all those dogs and cats. I used to volunteer at shelters, I think I may start volunteering again. He reveal some very sad realities. I still believe the worst thing that could of happen to animals was humans. I know there are millions of people who love animals but humans bring mostly harm to animals whether it be through food, animal testing, clothing. We love our pets but do we love the animal who was skinned alive so we can were their fur (even faux fur which can be just skinned dogs, cats and rabbits)? What about the uggs we wear? Those sheep are being sheared by the most vile people who are torturing them. The sick thing about humans is that even when we know animals are suffering because of our actions, very few of us are willing to change our behavior to prevent their suffering. While we may say we love animals, how much of our lives would we be willing to change so that animals won't be tortured and killed because of our selfish actions? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I volunteer at a no-kill shelter, and can't imagine doing it at a kill-shelter - I don't know how those folks do it...I really feel for them. Totally agree that for the majority of humans...they really won't change much in their own lives in order to really make the world a better place for animals.
