Seems like there is always drama involved. What happened this time?

As some people here know, I was looking for a second male Biewer. Dee Ashley from HouseofWags was very highly recommend to me by people on this list, so I decided to contact her.

She sent me a pic of a year old dog named Einstien, that she was brokering for another breeder. This same dog was offered to me by Kathy Scotts from Seattle, (the same breeder that I bought my Lacy from.)

When I told my breeder friend in Canada (that referred me to Kathy) that I was thinking of buying Einstein, she told me absolutely not to because he lifted his leg to pee, and she knew that I couldn't tolerate that, I wanted a pup that did not lift his leg to pee. So I told Kathy I did not want him. A couple of months ago, I was offered the same dog from a breeder named Bobbi, and I told her the same thing, that I would not buy him because he lifted his leg to pee.

Then I contacted Dee and she said she had a one year old that she was selling, and it happened to be the same dog. I told her I did not want him because my breeder in Canada, who knows Kathy and her dogs, said he lifted his leg to pee. Dee insisted that he did not. She also said he was completely pee pad trained and she wished her other dogs were as good as he was.

So I told her I would buy him on one condition, that he did not lift his leg to pee. She agreed. I trusted her because she was highly recommended to me by people on this list. I flew to Palm Spring to get him. The first hour I had him in my house, he constantly lifted his leg and peed on everything. I had him for 5 days, and he never used the pee pad once, he peed and pooed everywhere else.

I contacted Dee and told her I wanted to return him. I told her I wanted a refund of the $1,500. I paid for hime and $550. for the cost of airfare, as I had to use 25,000 points to fly there, and I use the same number of points to fly to Canada and it costs me $550.-600. to fly to Canada, so the next time I fly to Canada, I will have to pay about $600. because I don’t have the 25,000 points anymore. She said she would pay me back the $1500. when she got Einstein, and she would pay me back the $550. when she sold him, because she did not have that much cash available.

She told me to give her an address of a restaurant near the airport where we could meet. I went online and got an address for McDonalds and gave it to her. While I was driving to meet her, she phoned me and started yelling at me that they had ended up at the airport instead of McDonalds. She was very angry. I told her I would meet them at the airport, she said no, they would go somewhere else. She called back to let me know where she was, and I went to meet them there. I took Einstien and walked over to meet them at their car. Her husband came right up to me and started yelling in my face that I was so stupid and needed to have my IQ checked because I gave them an address which took them to the airport, and not to McDonalds. He was absolutely furious. He took Einstein, got in his car, slammed the door shut and rolled up the window. I went over to Dee’s side of the car, and told her I wanted my refund. She asked where his papers were, and I forgot them. She said she would not reimburse me until she had the papers. I told her I would send them to her the next day, but she would not trust me to do that, which was such an insult. Why would I want to keep his papers? So I said I wanted a note written out that I had given him back. Her husband said I was not going to get any note because they had no paper and I would just have to wait for it. I looked at Dee, and told her I wanted a note. She did write me one and gave it to me.

I could not believe the way I was treated by these two people. She wouldn't trust me to send her the papers, but I had to trust her that she would refund me $1500. plus $550. for airfare! Unbelievable. I sent the papers a couple of days later by certified mail. Days passed and I did not get my refund, so I contacted her and she said she did not receive the papers. I told her the tracking number said they were delivered. So I had to go to my P.O. to get a copy of her signature and they said I had to go to the main P.O. to get it. So I spent another hour getting a copy of her signature, which I got.

So, I have a copy of her signature when the papers were delivered, but she still insists that she did not receive it and she will not refund any of the money she owes me.

I will now have to go to court to sue her for the return of the money. Can anyone tell me if there is someone that I can file a complaint with? I imagine she is a member of AKC, so do they take complaints like this?

The way I have been treated is abominable. I was lied to, yelled at, called stupid, and have $2,050.00 owed to me, which is over $2,700. in Canadian funds, which is what I had to pay. I should have been the one that was angry, at being lied to and spending a day traveling to Palm Springs to get him, and all the hassle of returning him.

I feel so very sad for this poor pup, he was a wonderful, sweet pup. Dee was brokering him for Kathy Scotts from Seattle. Kathy sent him to another breeder named Bobbi to see if she could sell him, and then Bobbi sent him to Dee, who sold him to a friend of hers who kept him for one day, and then returned him supposedly because her cat would not tolerate him. I wonder if it was actually because he peed on everything. So then he went back to Dee, then I bought him and he came to my home, then he went back to Dee, and now she is trying to sell him to someone else. So, in less than one year, he will have been transferred eight times to a new home. Kathy, Bobbi, Dee, Dee’s friend Rita, back to Dee, Sharon, Dee, and hopefully a new owner eventually.

Dee was so angry at getting Einstein back again. She was very upset with her friend Rita who returned him to her, and Dee said and I quote, “I have an albatross around my neck.” I feel so incredibly sad for this poor pup who is being treated like he is an albatross around her neck.

She had no right to be so angry at me for returning him, it wasn’t my fault. She told me that he did not lift his leg to pee, and that he was completely pee pad trained. He was not. I had a right to return him.

I have been messaging a couple of people on this list the whole entire time I was going through all of this, so they know what has been happening. I have every single email and text message from Dee to prove everything I have said is true and correct.

I honestly do not understand how people on this list could recommend some like like Dee who has treated me horribly, is lying about not getting the papers and refuses to refund me the money she owes me.

Wow, so sorry this situation turned out so horribly for all involved but I'm MOST sorry for this poor, sweet, innocent little being who is being shuffled around all over the dang place bc everyone is just trying to get rid of him rather than COMMITTING to finding the RIGHT home for his needs. Really saddens me and angers me. :( :mad:

Was Sharon refunded her purchase price + flight yet? Sounds like it's the only ethical thing you can do at this point.

PLEASE please please commit to finding the *right* home, once and for all, for this poor little guy, rather than just finding any home possible. It's truly awful to hear he has been in EIGHT homes at this point - that's just plain ridiculous and unacceptable and unethical to be honest with you.

I am speechless....well almost.

Let me come right out and say that if anyone wants, they can send this poor pup to me and I will take care of him and stop the madness of his life. HE DOES NOT DESERVE ANY OF THIS. My guess is it won't happen since the breeder wants the almighty dollar for him....BUT if she cares about him perhaps she will take me up on my offer. I won't be trashing the breeder...the ONLY consideration here is Einstein.

Why people want perfect is totally beyond me....my suggestion to you Sharon is to not get another pup....and certainly not a male. I have had male pups squat to pee and then later on learn to lift their legs. I have had males and females mark...so, no matter wha,t...if you are that averse to training, get a stuffed yorkie, not a live one. Don't snap at me for this because I won't respond to it. It is simply the way I see it.

I also want to suggest to Dee or anyone else placing these pups that they steer clear of anyone who is THAT fixated on dog urine. This poor baby was doomed from the start IMHO>

This whole thing makes me SICK. The ONLY person out ANYTHING HERE is Einstein. Money? sheesh .. I WILL PAY HIS AIRFARE HERE AND FIND A WONDERFUL HOME FOR HIM.

Please Dee, speak with your friend and consider letting me help this pup.

I must have been replying while you were ... I too am extremely upset for this poor pup. SO UNFAIR.

I don't give a rat's backside about anyone or anything else and will refuse to discuss this again UNLESS it is to make arrangements for me to get him and find him a wonderful home.

I understand your point of view, ladyjane, but to tell me to get a stuffed dog is very unkind. I have never had a male dog before. My pups are indoor dogs, so I needed a dog that did not lift his leg to pee, as I certainly cannot handle having pee on all my furniture and on Lacy's beds. It will be extremely difficult to break him of the habit not to pee on everything in the house, and I don't feel that was my responsibility when I was told he did not lift his leg and that he was pee pad trained. I bought him on the condition that he did not lift his leg to pee. You tell me not to snap at you when put me down like that? Wow.

Let me say it again: If you can't handle dog pee and poop, get a stuffed animal.

And breeders, please don't sell to people so obsessed about dogs peeing and pooping. I can promise you I would never adopt this pup out to a person who was more concerned about whether he will lift his leg or not than who he is and his needs. I NEVER promise a pup is housebroken and I do suggest belly bands and diapers; but in the end, if a person is that obsessed, just not going to happen and YES I have told many people to stick with fake rather than real. DOGS PEE...DOGS POOP. This poor thing has had a hellish life...no wonder he is not housebroken. I am aghast

Dee - this *is* the right thing to do for poor Einstein. I can only hope that you are able to see the situation clearly for what it is. Please, just surrender this dog to Linda and you'll then be guaranteed that he will be placed in the RIGHT HOME, finally, once and for all.

If Einstein is more important than money to you, then you'll do the right thing here.

If Dee will send Einstein to ladyjane, I will tell Dee that she does NOT have to pay me back for the airfare, I will swallow the $550.00 loss, as my contribution to helping Einstein find a good home.
Please, Dee, have some sympathy for this poor sweet dog and do the right thing.

hugs Sharon, I know this has been heart breaking for you.
I hope you are immediately refunded the purchase price and I hope lady jane can find this sweetie a home. the whole thing is so sad :(
