Just a quick update on Bella's progress with vomiting from an empty stomach. In the past, I had been giving her a few banana slices in the morning, since I had them on my cereal, and she kept begging for them. Unfortunately, that seemed to spoil her appetite, and that was one of the things that caused her to lose interest in food. Since I discontinued giving her bananas and greatly reduced her handouts of other fruits and vegetables, she has become more interested in her own food, and she eats on a more regular schedule. She still expects to be hand fed kibbles to get her started (I think that's Bella being spoiled), but once I get her primed, she will eat a reasonable amount of food on her own. She's only thrown up once in the past two months, and I think that one incident was preventable--I slept in on the weekend and didn't make sure she was fed early enough in the morning.
