| Hi Everyone! Just joined this blog, my Yorkie is named Sable and I am Ruth. I am so excited to be able to participate! Sable is my 1st Yorkie 6 mo. old and I adore her! She travels with me everywhere and had her 1st air plane trip last month to LA I was amazed at how well she did! I have two older dogs both 15 yrs old Kiko who is 1/2 Australian Shepard and 1/2 Corgie mix ad Ninyo my Chihuahua. Sable is having her spaying tomorrow so I found this forum to read about her recovery, she is so little 4 and 1/2 lbs so I am a concerned momma! My Vet informed me that terriers are stubborn lol she is a bit, but so sweet! Looking forward to hearing from you and the discussions, as she is my wonderful excitement every day. Hugs |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Welcome and congrats on your new little one! I'm sure she'll do just great w/ her spay. Make sure you have any retained baby teeth removed at time of spay, and also come home w/ pain meds AND a pain plan...ie, what you're supposed to do if/when her pain is not being managed/relieved.

| congrats, little advice, buy a human baby's 0-3 month old or a premie onsie. This will cover her stiches and you will not need the cone. My Lola was freaked out by the cone, she would not move out of a corner. I was alone most of the time and could not leave her to go get a onsie, had I known ahead of time I would have been prepared, so when you drop her off tomorrow go get some onesies, and take them off when she needs to go potty and you can watch her.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Welcome Ruth & Sable. I'm sure you will enjoy this site, it has been so helpful to me. It is so nice that you can travel with Sabel. I always take Chloe where ever I can and she loves it and yes, they can be a bit on the stubborn side, but always cute. It sounds like you have a great pet family. |
