So, I was walking Beanie today and came across a woman with her dog Max. She was the first person that I encountered when I got Beanie and started walking her. Beanie is my first dog, so I am a total novice (ya, I got a Yorkie, duhhhh). Anyway, I hadn't seen her and Max for a very long time as my office has moved and I can't got home for lunch and take Beanie for a walk around my neighborhood. I now just take her to work (yes I am very lucky, everyone in work LOVES her and when I leave her home they ask me where is Beanie), so I haven't had the opportunity to see my neighbors and their dogs. Anyway, this dog owner was very nice as Beanie was GOING FREAKIN NUTS and I brought her over to Max, stooped down and patted her while she went near him and lo and behold, SHE CALMED DOWN!! My neighbor was so nice and suggested that maybe this is what I should do, allow Beanie to go up to a dog and be nuts, but just stoop down and pat her and show her that the dog is isn't going to hurt either one of us.

Anyway, I thought I would share this with you. I feel your "pain". LOL

For what it's worth.........I bought some of "Richards Calm" for dogs. It's in a dropper. I've used it 3 times. I'm honestly going to use it a few more times but so far it's not a miracle cure. I can't even rate it from say a 10 down to a 6......BUT, I spoke to a Yorkie owner today that said he will calm down as he gets older. She has an older Yorkie and one Buddybears age. We have Hope!!!!!!!!

Thank you, I will look into that. I guess Yorkies are just... well Yorkies. Stubborn, willful, wonderful, loving and most of all just exasperating!!

Jkpal, you are tooooooooo funny! My theroy; little dog= little poo, Big dog= Big Poo!😊. We had a golden retriever. The brushing was like brushing 20 yorkies, and bless his heart, Chris wanted to be a lap dog or touching you at all times.
My groomer suggested a Shihtzu for the next dog cause they are calmer and lap size.
That tv commercial almost makes me want another golden-------no, I had no clue what car was being advertised, lol, their $$$$$$$$ in advertising was wasted on me.😱

WELL THERE YOU GO!!!! Charlie does NOT want to go home and thinks that every turn signal means he is going home. Should have figured out that HE is a riding hound. NEVER turn any corners NEVER go into parking lots NEVER stop LOVING that boy.

Now Prince Charming was the very opposite. Loved to go for the ride BUT Grandma's lap belonged ONLY to him. Of course our other 2 had their private places as well. Faline (as in Bambi's doe) slept on the seat next to her mistress and Cocoa slept between the bucket seats on a raised air pad so she would be able to assist in anything I needed.

A story about Cocoa if you don't mind -- She was a chocolate Lab service dog. I bought her at 11 weeks of age and began training her immediately. One day after she had mastered her ability to ride the cart in WalMart between my feet we went back to the car. Cocoa worked in a guide dog harness as it was the one that gave her the ability to keep me walking forward.
As we left the store and placed all of the groceries in the car, we walked around to the driver's side to load up for the drive home. A black & white (only color for a police car) pulled to a stop behind my car. He jumped out and said "Lady you are NOT driving this van anywhere. Blind people do not have the right to drive." Trying not to laugh too much, I explained that Cocoa was a service dog but not a guide dog. I could see everything completely and he said "Prove it", wrote a note on his hand and made me read it to him. To top it off as his Major went into the store I waved to him as we had been friends already 6 years. The Major was the one laughing because of the officer stopping me. Actually the Major had done this same exact thing. Our picture -- me and Cocoa -- was put in the briefing room so ever officer could read the notation. I kinda missed being stopped but life must go on.

Just had to give my Cocoa a spot of pure pleasure here. Cocoa would even catch money and bring it back to me. She was one special girl. My second angel.

Well, I mean, really... "moving." I would imagine if she simply took some movie stunt classes and dressed in the proper safety gear... 'Twould seem little lord Charlie is out maneuvering each and every one of us~~It's so terribly wrong and yet somehow, so terribly expected and yes, even right...I'm done for---for NOW only--I refuse to admit defeat!

Attachment 409198Well, this is Charlie when we leave the house now - he just looks out the front door and wonders why we left without him. It was sad the first few times so we took him with us. BIG MISTAKE - he tried to catch up on all the barking and screaming we missed out on. So, here he is - watching us leave and trying to figure out why we left him...so sad. :(
