The ONLY way I can see buying a dog from a pet shop as "rescuing" is if the dog has been there so long and been discounted several times that there is no way the shop is making money on the dog.

I didn't mean pet stores sell cheap pets. Their prices are ridiculous. I'm saying puppy mills sell cheap pets. Many regular people, and I know several, buy straight from mills because they advertise their pups in the paper for $200 dollars. These people won't pay the price of a well bred puppy.
