This is all BS...NeoPar, which is the shot for parvo....and I have had MAJOR experience with parvo!!!....I learned everything about parvo and the shots given to protect your pup, and this person is not being honest with you....I give a shot of NeoPar to my female before she is bred, in order to build up her immunity against parvo....then I give the babies a shot of NeoPar when they are 4 weeks old, and they start their vaccinations at 8 weeks of age, which also include a vaccine against parvo..... Just know this person is not being honest with you on many, many different levels.....hopefully, your pup did get vaccinated....

I do not agree with many vets who do not accept a health record from a breeder that has the vaccination labels secured to the health record, with the date the vaccination was given. I worked for a vet....he did the same thing, because that meant re vaccination, which was money in HIS pocket.....If you are buying from a reputable breeder, she is more concerned with her puppies health than lying to a new owner, and perhaps having her precious baby exposed to parvo or any of the other diseases the vaccinations she gives, covers....why in the world lie about that? Not only that, you have to attach the vaccine label with the lot number and the expiration date of the vaccine printed on the label...all the vet has to do is contact the manufacturer and they have a record of who bought that lot#, when it was purchased, and when it expires......so vets not accepting legitimate vaccination records from reputable breeders, is just to line their own pockets. Reputable breeders keep their babies until vaccinations are given, 12-14-16 weeks of age....vaccinations are not started before 8 weeks of age, in order to not conflict with mothers immunity passed onto the babies, negating the effectiveness of the vaccine. It is just so easy for these vets to deny any vaccinations given by any breeder....but no concern for overdosing the baby with vaccines!

I did get a health record for him with vaccination labels on it. I have a one year health guarantee agreement with both mine and her signature on it. He got all of his shots he just needed one last parvo shot. I think she cared about her puppies and she gave me some morning and night medication for heart worm and hypoglycemia they came in syringes one was white for the day time and one was yellow butterscotch flavored for the night. So I'm pretty sure she made sure she gave me a healthy puppy, but she was still a little shady for not caring about him getting his last shot. He was born 5/14/15 I got him 8/17/15 she wanted him to come back 9/10 for his last parvo shot. So I don't think she was a total terrible breeder but it didn't end so well.

She had a vet she was working with though could he have given her the medication? She recommended that I took Beowulf to him because he specializes in working with yorkies. She's not answering our calls but I could easily go to that vet and find her through him if I really needed to.

you should call the AKC and see what they tell you, when I registered my baby it said you can register your dogs but I believe they might ask for DNA testing....

If you don't have papers from the breeder, you cannot get you baby AKC registered without providing proof of spay or neuter. If you are not planning on neutering the pup, then you cannot register without papers from breeder.

I give my dogs their shots and have never had an issue with it being accepted by any vet or organization. I keep the labels from the bottles and put them on the back of the shot records, and properly mark the shot records as well. The bottle labels are designed to be removed and placed somewhere.

Must just depends on the vet and how the records were kept.

I am glad to read this, because the breeder where I got my baby had given her the shots himself too, I never thought they would be no good, what kind of dog lover/breeder would lie to someone about that....I feel better now

I don't believe you will be able to get AKC papers on your puppy by contacting the AKC. Unless AKC has changed the way they handle registrations, the breeder of the litter submits a litter registration form with the AKC. This has all the information about the mother and father (AKC numbers) and the number and sex and date of birth of the puppies in that litter. AKC then sends the breeder the registration applications for each puppy in the litter. This is the form the breeder would give you to send in to AKC to register the puppy in your name.

The kind of person who I got my Uni from; a liar, a broker, a person who makes money off the backs of dogs. If you get your dog from a reputable breeder like yorkiemom1 then that's a different story. I was telling my story.

Also yorkiemom1 also makes another point, that many vets will say the shots are no good so they can charge you for their shots, and yes not caring about over vaccinating. Not all vets are good either.

Does not pass my sniff test She does not want you breeding - sell the pup on a spay neuter contract! By the way Black n Gold is NOT to the standard it is Blue and Tan for show standard!!!

I would call the AKC and ask about registering your pup with them - btw have your paperwork handy so you can relate the show registered names of dam n sire.
