| New here Hi all, I am a first time yorkie owner and just recently came across the site while trying to figure out why my yorkie's coat was different than other yorkie coats I had seen. (Turns out, he has a cotton coat!) Boone is my handsome buddy. He is 8 years old and was abandoned when his original owner passed away. He spent quite a while in foster care because he wasn't socialized much previously, and has issues with kids, cats, and most other dogs. He's also extremely timid. I have had him for several months now and he is my tiny buddy! I bring him to work every day and have been doing my best to get him more used to people and the occasional animal. As someone who's only ever had large dogs before, it's pretty cute to have a little lap dog. I'm looking forward to learning more about yorkies and meeting all your fur babies, too |

| I have a cotton coat over here too! Definitely make sure to brush once a day or every other day as they get knotted up pretty easily. Welcome to you & Boone! |

And I am dying right now - I thought I was the only person who used the word "chorkie". Boone is such a puff ball after bathtime! : | |
