| Have they checked for a microchip yet? A shelter or vet may do it for free.

| No microchip but the dog didn't look like a stray. They're putting a notice on Craigslist but they haven't seen any "lost" posts on CL. I'm always worried about a dog being stolen in one state & let go in another so it's never reunited with it's owners.

| This is what I found on google. But generally, I've seen ppl post lost dog signs on their own personal page and friends would share, and then their friends would share, etc etc.. There might be a site on FB for specific county as well. https://www.facebook.com/LostDogsArizona |

| Wow, that's a great site. This Yorkie not on it though, not listed as missing on CL, & it's been 2 weeks or more.

| Check with the local shelter, animal control, pound or whatever your area has to see if a family has called in? Check with the local vets to see if they recognize it or have a lost pet bulletin (by fax or text not necessarily a costly appt)? Check these sites: https://www.flealess.org/lostpets/arizona/chandler.html http://www.azhumane.org/contact-us/lost-or-found-a-pet/ https://www.lostmydoggie.com/missing...5226&radius=50 http://petkey.org/pet-recovery/LostPets.aspx I got all these from this search and there are more there: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#n...in+Chandler+AZ

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Has this dog's owners been located? I so hope so! I live about 10 minutes from Chandler and I volunteer weekly at a no-kill shelter (AAWL.org)...if I can be of help, let me know.

| No, there's been no progress at all. 70 fliers were posted & a CL post, but nothing. When I posted in here I really thought every person who's lost a Yorkie in the US would take a stab at inquiring if this were their dog, but not one request has come in. This dog is being cared for really well, so no worries about that: 2 vet visits, a grooming, walked & "shared" between 2 neighbors with small dogs, etc. (Ann, did you see the teeny 11 yo Yorkie in Chandler a few days ago who needed a home? As of day 2 there had been 50 apps for her adoption!)

So if they don't find the owner, are they keeping it? I hope so. I couldn't take another at all...but I could help facilitate getting him into the shelter if needed. Keep it in mind.

| Don't you wish you had enough funds/space/help to take in all these furries that needed homes or at least temp homes?! Just imagine... A whole field of yorkies... LOL |
