| My puppy was spayed yesterday Zoey was spayed and is recovering well. She was so sad yesterday! She just wanted held and loved on. Now this us a puppy weighing 13 lbs and has long legs. It can be awkward holding her. Lol. She slept well last night other than hubby waking her up petting her! So I took her out to potty at 1:30am and she wasn't so wobbly but still groggy. She woke me up this morning at 8am and I took her outside. Then brought her in gave her just a little handful of food with her pain med and some water. She's now sleeping again. I have a onesie on her and that's working so far. I caught her a couple times wanting to lick her incision. Told her no and she stopped. I bought her 24 mo onesies and they fit perfect. I forget who posted about their pup being 13 lbs and needing 24 mo onesies. Thanks! Meeting my brother at his vets because his dog is having seizures. Dog is 15 yrs old so I hope it's something treatable. Going for support. |

YT 1000 Club Member | I am glad she did well! My puppies (boy and girl) are scheduled for 1 week from today to be fixed. I hope they both do well. My puppy (boy) is a bit of a baby when he is in pain so we will see how he does. My daughter's puppy (girl) is clingy and so she will probably want to just be held when she gets home. I don't know what to expect from my puppy though. I got onesies for them and they wear them some so that I can get them used to having them on. I hope her recovery goes quickly.

The biggest issue that she cries about is not being able to jump on and off the bed. She cries now when she wants up. I'm trying not to baby her alot so she won't get use to it and expect it when she's all better! But it's tough! Lol | |

Senior Yorkie Talker | When I first got Chloe, she was not spayed, but this year I got her spayed, she was so groggy when she came home all she wanted to do was cuddle up with me and a blankie, they put a horrible cone on her head, she couldn't even drink or eat with it on, I took it off right away, and just watched her very closely, I did not take her out to pee, just let her go on pee pad until she was better, she did great. It was about 2 weeks before I would let her jump or run around, and them she was back to her old self. Chloe & Abby send hugs and licks, and get better soon. |

| Glad to see Zoey's spaying went well and that's all behind you now. As each day goes by she'll get stronger and want to be more of her wild child self. Keep her calm hard as if may be for the period of time the vet told you. Cody sends (((hugs))) to Zoey.

| The vet didn't find anything wrong with my brothers dog. After some discussion with the vet we think he drank too much water and his sodium dropped and caused the seizure. Last night I took the onesie off Zoey because she was doing so well. No pain med this morning. She's doing very well and the incision looks good. She's getting back to her normal self now. She wants to play now. So I have to keep that under control! Wish me luck! My 4 yo granddaughter will be here today and tonight. That's going to cause some excitement. She saw my neighbors dog outside yesterday (they're friends) and went ballistic so I can just imagine how she's going to be when she sees my granddaughter! |

| Zoey wasn't too bad with my granddaughter here. If she started to get too excited I put her in her crate for her safety and she would lay down. Once she was calm I'd allow her back out. I has to do this many times before she caught on. Hehe. But she learned. She's so smart! She's getting her energy back. She really needs a walk. But I know that's out of the question. I don't want her to be in pain. I'm having to keep her on a leash to prevent her from running and jumping. She's mad and bites in the leash. I'm such a bad doggie mom. Lol |

| Sounds like your both doing fine. We had two days of a very quiet peaceful dog when Gracie was spayed and after that it was back to her bouncy normal! |

YT 1000 Club Member | I think my biggest problem is going to be keeping mine from running and jumping. With the 2 babies being fixed and then another Yorkie and a bigger dog in the house, it is going to be tough to keep the babies calm. I have a playpen I will set up while they are at the vet on Thursday in the living room. I hope it goes well though. Glad your baby is healing well.
