| Does Dexter have big ears? So I've read a couple of post that say some yorkies have big ears and some don't. I can't tell but Dexter is going to be 4 months on the 29th and I think he has some big fellas lol. What do yall think? Will he grow into them?

| Proportionally they are about the same as my girl. They don't look quite as large once the hair is fluffing around them when they get older...check yorkie pictures on line images....I did and found my little on seemed pretty normal! |

| Yorkiemom is right. If you aren't showing him then it really doesn't matter. My Uni had larger than average ears. You just have to groom the hair to balance out the ears to the face; just like on a person you can give illusion of width or height with a good haircut. What I do for Uni is I do tip her ears. A bit less than the normal top third. I tip about only 3/4". I also use scissors (be extra careful!) to clip near her ear closer to the top, and leave it longer (about 1/4") lower down to give the illusion of a wider ear. The rest of the ear hair I let grow as long as it will go. That along with growing her beard/head as long as it will go gives the illusion of shorter, wider ears. I noticed though your Dexter lays down with his feet pointed out. Have you had his hips checked out? They should be laying with their feet underneath the body when they are laying upright like that. My Toto kicks his out behind him. He has weird hips.

| He has beautiful ears he looks just like my now passed Matese when she was that age, Mitzi Vyci is correct, once his hair starts to grow it will fill out, I had my baby's ears groomed leaving fringes on the ears, there is a picture in my album take a look. My now adopted boy has large ears, his are groomed the same way. He will grow into them and if you leave fringes on his ears it will frame his beautiful face, I LOVE large ears.

| Dexter is super cute! Trimming their ears can make their ears look big because you are naturally comparing them to the size of their very petite faces. Teddy's ears look a lot bigger when he's first groomed even though everything on him is little! Dexter is sooooooooooooo cute!! He's no Dumbo if that was what you were asking..lol |
