| Concerns for sassy My Sassy will be a year old August 5th. I have taken her to the vet so many many times with the same issues. I have even went as far as taking her to another Vet. She drinks so much water. We buy gallon water for her and she drinks a gallon every two days, she pee's a river all the time. The second vet I took her to said it wasn't normal but her urine test and blood work seem to be fine. She is bloated all the time. She will drink water, and right afterwards her tongue will be dry. Actually it's like she never had anything to drink. Please if anyone can tell me what's wrong with my baby or has and clue please let me no. I'm a very worried and concern Yorkie mom. |

| Help for Sassy Hello everyone, I'm new to the yorkietalk.com My little sassy will be a year old August 5th. I have taken her to the vet with the water and peeing issue every since I've had her @ age 8 weeks old. They kept saying it was fine. So I took her to see a different Vet and he said it wasn't normal so the blood work and urine test was done and seemed to be fine, he said to keep a Che k on her. She is drinking a gallon of water every other day. After she drinks it's like she never had anything to drink and her mouth is dry. She is constantly peeing all the time and acts like she is thirsty all the time. Please if you have any info on what could be possibly wrong with my sassy I would gratefully appreciate it. Thanks and have a bless day |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | That is a huge amount of water - my gosh are sure you did not mean a quart and not a gallon? There is something called Juvenile Renal dysplasia. I will link to you some information I am assuming diabetes has been ruled out? And for me I would be going to an internal medical specialist and not a regular GP. You need answers!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT . With *this* much drinking and peeing, I'd be worrying about diabetes insipidus, which is rare as compared to diabetes mellitus...but this is the symptom of it. I would get her tested asap!

| Isn't that a symptom of Cushings Disease too?

| I have to agree that UT would be my next stop if I could make it happen. I live in Florida and could not travel that far with my little girl, but I went to the University of Florida which turned out to be the best thing ever.
