Hello everyone :) 2015 has been a rough year with me having a brain bleed in March and finding out I have kidney cancer (although the tumor is small and has not spread thankfully). I have been feeling run down, especially in the emotional sense. Normally I am very active but I get winded more often now (I also have some other issues too that contribute). Still I had been wanting a dog for a while. Sunday my wife found an ad for not one but TWO free yorkie girls, both 8 years young. Miraculously we were the first ones to respond. We picked them up yesterday. My wife already had a three pound male yorkie and the girls are about 7 or 8 pounds each. They get along like they were always together (and the girls are indeed littermates). They warm my heart like no one can know. I hope to post some pics when I get a chance. Even though I have been around yorkies one way or another since 1987 when my sister got her first yorkie I still could always stand to learn more. I am glad to be able to become a part of the community. I look forward to getting to know all of you. You all seem very knowledgeable and awesome! Thank you.

Here are a couple of pics taken this afternoon. The single girl is Lacey and in the other pic Lilly is the one at the foot of the bed. These two are awesome! Last edited by MyDogs888; 07-21-2015 at 06:12 PM. Reason: Forgot to add pics. Oops. :D

Thank you Wiley's Mom! I will be ok. Once the surgery is done and I recover I am going to start a custom fitness program. I used to body build and even with these problems I will be able to at least get fit again. It will just take time. I will mainly be walking at first and doing very basic exercises. Now I have two workout buddies to motivate me so that is going to be a big help too. Lacey is missing almost half her teeth and has an underbite and Lilly is missing a few teeth but not nearly as many as Lacey. Still these two almost walk ME hehe so I am glad. It seems since I have had them that they have more energy and feel happier. They are also starting to get satiated at meal times. They each need to gain a bit more weight though. I would say a good pound. They will though and they will have a lot of love here!
