| about color I read in some yorkie book or something like that, and it said that the color of a yorkie would stop change by 4 year old. but this one guy said his little one was still changing and his was older then 4. but he didn't really say the age of his. so what age do they stop changing color and u know what there final color would be. thanks for taking the time to read this post and answer if u do. |

| I think they have a change of colour when quite young, but as they get older they have more subtle changes of colour, our little Alfie is 11 Years old and he is still having little colour changes.

| In my experience I have a male Yorkie Alfie who has had a lot of colour changes and they have got more subtle through the years but I also have a female Yorkie Lottie who has stayed quite dark almost black and her colour seems to be more stable and she is almost 10 and only now showing the odd white hair here and there, I think if they are silver when young they also seem not to change so much but Alfie has had some beautiful colour changes throughout his life , so I suppose they are all different, so it's hard predict. Is there a reason you want to know what colour they are going to be? Some of the breeders might know or have a better insight into colour than I have .
