| I don't think Yorkies need specially made dog food. There are many different good dog foods available for large, small, young, and older dogs. My hunt for dog food is finding a good healthy one that my dogs like. Unfortunately, mine don't like any dog food very well. Somehow I have the feeling that if I put dog food on my own dish at the table and pretended that I was eating it --- they'd love it! I made a rather plain meatloaf for my dogs the other day and gave them some. I swear they looked at me and said, "This isn't right - where's the salt and pepper and catsup!!!" If any of your friends are feeding their dogs a good healthy dog food - and the dogs like it - more power to them. There are lists available that tell us which commercial dog foods are best. What is in the specially made dog food that you feed your dog. Who makes it? Is it expensive? Carol Jean |
