| Help!! Been wanting a Yorkie for so long I need help. Im looking to purchase a Yorkie. The owner claims its a full breed Yorkie. He's 2 years old, already trained to use the bathroom on the little pads. He only have had two shots his entire life. Kid friendly, and is for $140. Should i take the deal. |

| Oh my, he looks a lot like my Wall-e! It would be a big yes from me, but just be careful and make sure it feels right.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I agree...he looks great! Do be careful. Is there any way to know his age for sure? Does he have any medical issues? Is he neutered? Where did they purchase him from? If you are happy with the answers, I say go for it! |

| Sweet looking. Make sure you get him to the vet as soon as you get him to update his health records. Has he been neutered?? But only had 2shots.

As far as his looks, he's adorable looking. Maybe ask if you can see recent vet papers or ask that he be taken to the vet (with you there) before you commit? 2 shots as a 2 year old sounds under vaccinated but ask what the shots are which he has had and maybe then call a vet to make sure that he's had enough or what else he'd need... If he needs more, offer less on the basis that you have to get his health up to scratch or just plan to spend more to get the little guy up to date... He's gorgeous!

| Howdy neighbor, former Bronx-ette here. He sure is a little cutie, did this owner say why they are looking to re-home this sweet little boy? 2 y/o and only 2 shots!!!!! Do they have papers on this boy (AKC) not that registration paers all that much, all my pups came with papers, I singed up 2, my other 2 I did not, reason, I had no intention of breeding them, so for me registering them didn't matter to me. If he has AKC papers you at least know he came from a breeder, not a Back Yard Breeder who mated their dog with their neighbors dog and there would be no AKC papers. Only 2 shots and 2 y/o is a issue for me. You could be adopting a boy with health issues, are you financially prepared to possibly spend what could be big bucks if this boy is not healthy and you find this out on his first vet would should be as soon as you pick him up. This is not like buying a used car, have the mechanic check it out, car not in good condition, you can say NO to the deal. Once you pay your $140. that dog is yours. Me, I am the type if I fall in love with a car, if it has no engine, I will buy it and have mechanic put an engine in, same with a dog, if I fall in love with it I get it, if the dog has health issues I do all to get him healthy, however, I have an excellent vet and the finances to cover vet bills, do you? If you can say yes to finances and have the best vet, I say, look at the dog, then follow your heart. He's a little cutie and will go fast at $140. Good luck in you decision.

| If he is healthy I would definitely get him. If he is not healthy and you can afford to get him healthy, I would get him. Maybe they would let you talk to his vet and find out his medical history.

| He is really cute and looks a lot like my Duncan. $140 is a really cheap price for a purebred yorkie. Did they say if he has papers? I concur with many of the other replies; I would ask the owner if you could take him to the vet to have him checked over before you purchase him to make sure he doesn't have any expensive medical problems that you are going to take over. I would ask them for any vet records they have on him but if he has only ever had 2 shots, I doubt that they have taken him to the vet on a regular basis and probably don't have any updated medical records. Good luck with your decision. He really is cute.

| If you don't take him I will . 140.00 is not a lot either.....that's about what a lot of people charge for rehoming. I paid 500.0 for my Duchess and she was two years old at the time(worth every penny). I think the owner sold her for so much because she wasn't spayed. She is now though. In fact he looks like Duchess twin brother. He is absolutely adorable. Take him to get vet check and look into pet insurance. |

Agreed. When I got Duchess she had none of what you mention so I took a big chance but then again I was financially able to meet her needs if she was unhealthy. Fortunately for me, she check out to be healthy at which point I got pet insurance for her. I tend to take in strays as well and nurse them back to health so even if you have all of the above assurances, there are no guarantees in life that your pup will never get sick years from now. Based on your pic, I would probably take a chance on him unless there was something so bad that I would not be able to handle it like a history of aggression especially around children. Just be sure to ask about any behavioral issues which we are here to help with. But at 140.00, he will be snapped up very quickly. He is so freakin adorable.

| Thank you to everyone for taking the time to comment on my thread. Every comment that was posted is a great help. I do look forward to adding him into my family. Most of the questions I was told to look into, sadly the owner doesn't have. The owner bought him from a friend when he was a puppy. No papers, no nothing. |

| Poor puppy, a 3rd home in 2 years. Look at this baby. If you decide he's for you, get him to the vet that day if possible. In fact you should make a vet appointment now, before you see him, sounds like you have already made up your mind about adding him to your family. If for what ever reason you don't take him you can always cancel the vet appointment. But I would get him to a vet for shots and a physical right away. So this owner doesn't know what vaccines this little boy has had. Please let us know how you make out. He's such a cute lil guy, he needs a forever home.
