| Going Potty Everywhere I have 2 puppies. Xena is 5 months old and Zeus is 4 months. We have had them about 2 months now. We have been trying to train them with pee pads. We have a kennel in the master bedroom with pee pads in it (that is where they go when we leave them home alone for a bit) and we have a playpen on the other side of the house, also with pee pads. I thought with them being so little, 2 places would be better so they don't have to run across the house. Zeus pretty much gets it with accidents here and there. Xena however, pees all over the place. I wake up early and put them on the pads, Zeus goes and gets a treat. Xena just looks at me and sits there. This morning I put them both on the pad, Zeus went, got a treat. Xena laid there and after I left she jumped back on the bed. Hubby was playing with her and not 5 minutes later peed right next to him. She is able to jump up and down on her own. I have been trying to put her on the pad regularly. I even close the door and keep in there for a 5 - 10 minutes. Coax her with "Go Potty", nothing. Let her out and she pees right next to the pad. She knows she is doing wrong, her ears go down and she will go sit in the kennel or playpen. I haven't noticed her drinking more than usual either. What am I doing wrong? Why does Zeus get it more than her? |

| Not every dog is the same, some just take longer. Lots of patience and praise, treats when she hits the mark. I was very successful in training all my pups, but it is said potty training yorkies takes a bit longer. She will get it, just be patient. Maybe making more of a fuss when Zeus gets it right, and NO fuss when Xena doesn't. Yorkies LOVE attention, happy dance, crazy praise, treats, maybe if she sees Zeus get all that and she gets none she may try harder. I am sure others will be along soon that had same problem and can tell you what worked for them.

| OK Thanks!! This morning I put her the kennel to pee and kept her in there for a bit. She pooped!!! YAY!! I gave her a treat and praise. No pee though. I just now took her outside and she peed!! yay!!! I gave her a ton of praise and a treat. Trying to hide the frustration |
