Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() In the last few months I've seen dozens of Yorkie pups and semi mature dogs as I searched to find my new Yorke 'Holly' who is a 'Biewer'. I certainly saw at least a couple like yours from KC registered breeders and was assured they were genuine. I found they were somehow the friendliest and most active pack members. Perhaps the gene mix provides a different paradigm in the odd few puppies every fourth, fifth litter et al. There's really two things going on here I would suggest, firstly the purported provenance of what you were sold and secondly, you being comfortable with a varied look puppy. Most people can't decide what Holly is either? |

| ![]() To begin with Toffee is adorable ! However, I once had a Yorkie, Dachshund mix ( best little girl ever) she looked just like Toffee at that age, ears, legs, paws and face (coloring also). So I would have to conclude it is possible your little pup may be a mix. I think she is a blessing either way. Wishing you all the best with her ! |

| ![]() Hi all, I will definitely keep you updated with pics, quirky characteristics and hair growth. I have spoken to the woman I got her off today and she said to me after asking if she was a 'Dorkie' that she is not, and Toffees Dad is KC registered. She said that Yorkies hair growth can be different and said Toffee wasn't the runt and her hair will come through soon. Around 12 wks+. The other four pups have 'wispy and 'fluffy' hair and so it should come through...I am hopeful but right now, I feel a have a puppy duchshund. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() Where is the mom registered? Kc is not a reputable Registery nor is APRI? Are you getting a pedigree. Your pup is very cute. I don't let my puppies go until 12 weeks so the buyer is assured of what they are buying. |

| ![]() No matter what her DNA is, Toffee is very cute. Sweet little face - I'm sure she is as lovable as she looks! |

The Kennel Club is Englands most reputable registry. To the OP you can do a DNA parentage test if you truly suspect the father is not the sire of this pup. But I will say we had a poster here awhile ago whose dog puppy looked very much like yours did - she had the Wisdom Panel and it turned out that this was a purebred Yorkie! I had to eat my hat on that one - because I could have sworn up n down that lass was a mix of something. As other posters have said she looks absolutely adorable!

| ![]() Hi all, Hope you remember me, I have attached some photos of toffee now. she is around six months old. Do you think she looks yorkie now or mixed still? She's a sweetie, although I have just posted a thread on how aggressive she was and its made me really upset. Hope you are all well and your little darlings are good. Have a good evening. |

| ![]() Hi all, Hope you're all doing well and so are your lovely pooches. Now Toffee is a lot older (nearly 11 months) she had her FIRST grooming session at the groomers today (better than my bath tub and a brushing). They said her hair was a bit wiry on her head and it resembled a jack russell. She now weighs 5kg and is such a delight. People ask me when we go out for walkies, if she's mixed and i never know what to say but now I do. I was thinking of taking the doggy DNA test (my partner thinks its a bit extreme) for curiosity, but i think I'll leave it as I do think a jack russell was her Dad. 'Roger - Over and out!' lol |

| ![]() Toffee is a cutie! Almost time to celebrate her first birthday! Yay! Based on her puppy pictures and the most recent ones you've posted, I would agree that she definitely looks like a cross-breed. To me it wasn't as much as the hair as it was her big paws. Very cute big paws nonetheless ![]()
